From the arrival we were in awe, the setting is beautiful and you look over a pool towards the rock. We were created and showed to seats and offered drinks and cold towels.
First issues we had were at check in when they took our passports and returned with another couples, luckily my husband had looked at them.
Second issue was we were told driver accommodation had to be booked and was full so our driver had to go out looking for a hotel which were all full, granted it turned out that this was our tour company fault as they should of notified the hotel for our driver and had not.
Next step we were shower to out rooms and upon entering the cleaners told the girl ours was not ready and I had requested a top floor room so she tried to put us in the ground floor which they were just finishing up cleaning so we had to wait a few mins outside , it was only when i noticed the room number was different and queried why we were going in a ground floor that she apologized and said the top was not ready so we accepted this as we were desperate to get changed and hit the pool.
The room itself was fine, nicely decorated and spacious with great atmosphere at night as it lite up with candles.
Bar was fantastic and not bad priced, in fact the manager offered a round if drinks in the house to make up for out problems which was great and restored our fate as he took notice.
Next issue was we decided to eat at the Chinese restaurant and were disappointed as we ordered two starters one vegetable rice wrap and prawn dumplings, now my rice wrap came as not described on the menu and Our other started came as a soup & since I know Chinese food we pointed this out to them which they wanted to change but the soup was very good so we ate it and they brought us dumplings which were terrible, Chinese dumpling are tender and meant to be eaten whole and to our shock we discovered when biting into these that the prawns had the shell and tails still on. Again the restaurant were good as they took the starters always and did not charge us and our main courses were excellent( chilli crab & chow main).
The hotel is stunning however they need to train their staff & also have people in charge who speak good English.
