When we arrived to this hotel we got cold wet towel and welcome drinks, Hotel from reception have a nice view to the pool. We stayed in delxe room no. 67, that was very nice decorated but with dirty toilet that have pee on the top of toilet seat.Second issue we have with power outage we loose power for 30 minutes in midle of showering. But the worst thing was woke up in 5 am from some of the gest that they was talking on cell front of our door and they was running from first to second floor for one hour.Hotel workers need to understand that people coming to hotel to relex not to be woke up from cleaning staff that they was sweeping road front of rooms 6 30 am.We was planing to stay one more night but after all the issues that we have we decide to stay in another cheaper hotel because hotel Aliya is over priced and I can not recommand this hotel.Hotel staff definitely has to to work on housing and quit hours.

This hotel is perfect! It has unique design that you will never see anywhere else. Everything is made of high-quality materials and carefully designed. Staff is very friendly and tries to make your stay pleasant and unforgettable.
The deluxe room has very spacious bathroom with rainshower and balcony with a nice view to Sigiria. Breakfast was good too, especially I liked the fresh avocado juice.
Most of all I loved the swimming pool with crystal clear water and no clorine! At night this pool is amazingly illuminated!

To start off, we didn't stay here but stopped by for lunch after a morning visit to nearby Sirigiya. We had been curious after seeing the hotel website and some of the amazing photographs of the facilities. The location is just off the main road between Habarana & Dambulla and would be easier to find if the signage was larger and better placed. The arrival at the (closed) 20-foot high front gate was mysterious and a bit of a surprise. Once beyond, the drive up to the lobby entrance already gave a very good impression of the overall aesthetics of the resort - it is designed for maximum visual impact. The size of the drop-off porte cochere is no less than elephantine in scale and extremely grand (but very modern in style). The predominant colours are chic grey and white. The dramatic lobby frames the panoramic view of distant Sigiriya. Super large elephant themed murals and contemporary artwork adorn the walls.

We were graciously offered a tour of the hotel by a young intern Dimuka Atthanayake and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable experiences we had in Sri Lanka. We were shown the tented suites which were very well-designed and totally unique. Nestled within a wooded area and linked by elevated paths, it took camping to another level of sophistication. All the modern luxuries were seen to be available (just don't know how well they worked).

Another unique special feature was the small but smart-looking rice cultivation museum modelled after a rural village where parts of the construction used elephant dung plaster. Old harvesting tools, containers and yokes adorn the white-washed walls in neat arrangements. The village themed spa complex too was very nicely set up with all kinds of traditional treatments in spartan but clean surroundings. There's even an ayurvedic doctor available. We were shown the Chinese restaurant 'tucked' ignominiously underneath the swimming pool - the chef is Sri Lankan and apparently trained in China.

We concluded our tour with a lunch at the main restaurant. Really good deal on a tasty 3-course set at 2000SLR nett. Good choices (Asian, Western and local Sri Lankan) and very decently prepared. Service was impeccable. BTW, did we mention the enormous and stunning-looking swim pool? Judging from the number of people enjoying it, it is obviously a great design success. The next time we are in the neighbourhood, we would not hesitate to stay here.

From the arrival we were in awe, the setting is beautiful and you look over a pool towards the rock. We were created and showed to seats and offered drinks and cold towels.
First issues we had were at check in when they took our passports and returned with another couples, luckily my husband had looked at them.
Second issue was we were told driver accommodation had to be booked and was full so our driver had to go out looking for a hotel which were all full, granted it turned out that this was our tour company fault as they should of notified the hotel for our driver and had not.
Next step we were shower to out rooms and upon entering the cleaners told the girl ours was not ready and I had requested a top floor room so she tried to put us in the ground floor which they were just finishing up cleaning so we had to wait a few mins outside , it was only when i noticed the room number was different and queried why we were going in a ground floor that she apologized and said the top was not ready so we accepted this as we were desperate to get changed and hit the pool.
The room itself was fine, nicely decorated and spacious with great atmosphere at night as it lite up with candles.
Bar was fantastic and not bad priced, in fact the manager offered a round if drinks in the house to make up for out problems which was great and restored our fate as he took notice.
Next issue was we decided to eat at the Chinese restaurant and were disappointed as we ordered two starters one vegetable rice wrap and prawn dumplings, now my rice wrap came as not described on the menu and Our other started came as a soup & since I know Chinese food we pointed this out to them which they wanted to change but the soup was very good so we ate it and they brought us dumplings which were terrible, Chinese dumpling are tender and meant to be eaten whole and to our shock we discovered when biting into these that the prawns had the shell and tails still on. Again the restaurant were good as they took the starters always and did not charge us and our main courses were excellent( chilli crab & chow main).
The hotel is stunning however they need to train their staff & also have people in charge who speak good English.
