Moonhill is a truly tranquil House not overlooked by anyone and the beach, just at the end of the garden, is one of the loveliest beaches we have ever seen. We stayed here for a week with our little daughter and the fact that a travel cot with Mosquito net, highchair and TOYS were available was fantastic. It really felt like a home from home with the little unexpected extras like books, music, binoculars etc. All Staff were extremely (child) friendly & helpful and spoilt us with delicious food. The only regret we have is we couldn’t extend our stay!!!

I can't begin to describe the holiday we had at Moonhill. So chilled out without specified buffet times - we slept till 12 noon every day! The staff are ever so obliging - they bought us a giant sole to feed an army for just Rs.2,000, and whipped up wonders with it within no time. Nothing was ever too much for them and they indulged every impulse we had. The food was just amazing. The house is the ultimate relaxation spot, 30 seconds away from the deserted beaches. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and so well equipped, yet homely and comfortable and child friendly too. They also have a great surround sound system with a fantastic collection of lounge music. I will definitely go down to Moonhill every chance I get, even though I have been there twice already!

We have spent best 10 days at Moonhill and extended stay twice skipping other places, just because Moonhill is fantastic place to have relaxing vacations... we left much more spoiled than arrived. Quite and wild beach, clean and modern rooms, savoury food... everything were perfect and Gamini is best driver and guide in Sri Lanka...we already considering to come back even we never earlier came back twice to same place...

Moonhill is such a lovely house in a very quiet and unspoilt setting in Sir Lanka. It's been finished to a high standard with cool bedrooms set around an open courtyard with a nice grass garden and gate that leads down a path to the beach which is only 3 minutes walk away. Ruwan is the Manager and nothing is too much trouble for him or his brother, Mahesh who prepares the breakfast. They can also cook traditional Sri Lankan curries for you or get the freshest seafood. The master bedroom is wonderful with it's own private outdoor shower. It's also great to watch the sunrise and binoculars are provided to spot the many unusual birds. The beach isn't the biggest but it's really quiet with very few tourists and just a small thatched hut where you can get a cold beer. We loved Moonhill and thought it would be perfect for a group of friends or family group. It does seem quite a long way from Colombo airport but definitely worth the drive for an amazing experience of the true Sri Lanka and the friendliest, most helpful people ever.
