The room does not have air conditioner. We were looking forward to oversee beautiful mountain ranges or at least the vast sky but due to poor weather able to see any of that which is quite disappointing for the higher price to see sceneries. Fortunately, the restaurant is beautiful and classy. Food was normal.

Booked this minus through Booking.com at NT4160/ night for Loft Quad and it was cheaper than booking direct from the owner. Enquiries were responsive via email before the trip. We booked a loft quad standard room for 4 person, so its relatively spacious with a nice view of the mountains, bed comes with heater too. but the toilet is not very clean and kinda dark ,,, if i go back to this minsu next time i will book the 豪華 room instead which i think will be much cleaner. Location wise, although they said its near the town centre, but you have to walk abt 20mins on a road behind the minsu which is pitch dark after 6pm, cant even recognise the way back to the minsu and many holes on the road which prone to trip in that darkness. Minsu boss only drive you to the green green grassland which is abt 15min drive away but ask u to walk back through the 497steps route. As it was very cold and steep steps, it was rather tiring and took me 70-80min to complete the journey back to minsu. Breakfast was nice, minsu environment planted with cherry blossoms.

The 段家私房菜 cooked by the mother was superb, price is not cheap but affordable. Worth to try the grilled fish and chilli chicken!

Room Tip: only recommend to book the 豪華 room!!!

Best minsu with good location and very comfortable stay. The family suite is excellent. Renovation is new with an European touch . Double storey with a sunrise view at the balcony. Bathtub was big and can have nice hot bath. Super clean and dinner was good. My children enjoy the stay with a very welcoming doggy in the minsu that add on to a homely touch.

Interesting little B&B. Small but nice reception area. It looks like a family run place. Our deal included breakfast and dinner. Breakfast wasn't a big spread--toast and eggs, or Taiwanese porridge with meat floss, some pickled vegetables, salted eggs, etc. But it was sufficient and quite palatable. Coffee, warm milk and soy milk also available. Dinner was a preplanned -- four quite delicious dishes and one soup, with rice. Some locals go just for dinner so it seems the food is good.

The whole place isn't big, about 15-20 rooms. We had one on the ground floor with a small balcony looking out to the mountains. It was quite clean, small bathroom, not luxurious but everything worked and they had sufficient toiletries. Wifi was free, but signal wasn't strong. They had Chinese tea bags in the room, but no coffee like many other hotels. So bring your own coffee and stirrer if you need a second cup during the day or night. Hot/warm/cold water is available from a clean and new-looking machine along the corridor.

The dining area is flanked by a small garden on one side and nice view of the mountain on the other. In good weather, I guess you could take your food outside and enjoy the view while eating.

The b&b is less than 10minutes on foot away from the main road served by public buses. If you need a Starbucks, Mos burger, the Carton King store, restaurants, souvenirs, they are near the main road. Have a torch light if you walk back after dark. The road isn't well lit all the way, but it isn't pitch dark either, so don't be put off. It's a life in the country side. If you didn't bring a torch, you can always get one at the big convenience store--can't miss it.

It's not 5 star, but this little place is quite comfortable. Just lower your expectation.
