“CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, AND QUIET”

Above and beyond all our expectations.. We expected a comfortable and quiet atmosphere away from the street noise and any ounce of life’s typical hustle and bustle. Coral View House was just that providing everything advertised and more. The house itself is a work of art and absolutely breathtaking. Pictures just can't do it justice, it is definitely a must see! Snorkeling right off the porches made my 5 year old feel like he was waking up every morning in the cast of “NEMO”. Between him, myself, my husband, an 11 year old, and three teen agers the house was full, but we never felt like it. There is ample space, a futon in the living room and plenty of clean sheets, blankets, and towels that lasted us the entire 5 nights. Heading home we felt 5 nights just wasn't enough and are all ready to return for a longer stay. Mark was extremely attentive to all our needs and filled any request, no matter how impossible they seemed during this very busy season. Like clockwork, Mr. Brown was at the door every morning after breakfast asking what we needed for the day and was ready to take us anywhere we asked. He spent the whole day with us on starfish beach watching over our things while we swam. He was at our pickup point before we ever arrived ready to take our bags to carry for us to the boat. He gave us great advise on which excursions were worth our while and even saved us a day by pointing out that sloths and monkeys were easy to find in the nearby mangroves on the kayaks provided. He treated us like family to the point that our kiddos where calling him ‘Uncle Brown’ by the end of the trip. They miss him everyday and can not wait to spend another awesome vacation with him and sweet Winston.

Thank you so much for staying with us. Glad you had a great time and thank you for leaving the house in such great shape. Brown loved all of you and says "hola". Thanks again for the awesome tip you left Brown. He was very grateful for it. Please come back when you can and I will give you a discount. Cheers, Mark

“Stay in this house!”

This house is amazing. Book it now if it is available for your dates in Bocas. I traveled to Panama with my fiance and another couple. We knew we wanted to visit Bocas but were unsure on whether to stay in town or more remotely. We were so happy we chose Coral View! First of all, the house is over the water in a secluded bay. The wildlife is amazing-just from your front porch! We saw tons of tropical fish, crabs, sting rays, nurse sharks, and dolphins all from the front deck. You can jump in the water and experience amazing snorkeling around the house, or take the kayaks (included in rental) and paddle to more remote reefs. The reefs rivaled the Great Barrier Reef in diversity. We caught a different thing every night for dinner (lobster, red snapper, and spanish mackerel). Brown is the care taker who lives behind the house and two free rides to Bocas Town are included each day (we only used one per day) which we used for grocery runs and to have lunch as a break from all the outdoor activities we did. He is super friendly and helpful and even got us two coconuts from his yard! I would highly recommend staying out of Bocas town and over the water to get the full experience! The house is eco friendly and operates on solar power and rain water, but you would hardly notice. neither were ever an issue even with 4 people. There are composting toilets. No AC but the house is well ventilated and fans are in each room. Mark was great and helped us rent paddle boards for our stay. He also provides a cell phone for contact with himself and Brown while you're there. There are No-see-um's at dusk but there is bug spray and juice at the house which helps. I can't say enough good things about this house! It's a once in a lifetime experience! Stay here, and you won't regret it.

This house is located directly on the water. As others have stated the view from the wrap around porch is fantastic. The water is clear down to 15-20 feet. Fish are constantly swimming around the deck, along with stingrays, jellyfish and millions of minnows which are constantly being chased after by the bigger fish. There are coral growing to the pillars that the house is built upon. Snorkeling under the house provides viewing fish of many different sizes and shapes. The house itself is off the grid it has solar panels for power and a backup generator. It has composting toilets. Gecko's are always around and kitchen is stocked well enough to cook all your meals. There is no ac but it does have 3 fans to cool you down. This place is a little rustic but if you are a water person then this is the place for you. Also Brown is your Panamanian boat driver and he stays right behind the house and is always ready to take you to town. The snorkel gear is not in the best of shape, so you may want to take your own. Kayak provided is in decent shape and allows you to explore.

Thank for the review and the shape you and your wife left the house. I do agree the snorkeling gear needs to be updated and as well as few other things. We have been really busy this year and finally starting today we are doing a "Spring Cleaning" of the house before our next guest arrive. No doubt it got HOT for few days while you were here but being off the grid and the style of the house A/C is not an option for us. Jumping into the clear ocean water is a great way to cool off.

When you stay at this property which is built over the water you really know you are on holiday. We snorkelled and swam right off the lovely wide deck. The water is so clear we saw aquatic life in all colours of the rainbow. The accommodation was very spacious, clean and comfortable with the master bedroom ensuite upstairs. It had a new cooker and fridge freezer. It's only a short boat trip into town. If you come back after an evening in town you feel as if you can reach up and touch the Milky Way. The caretaker takes you in when you would like to go.

“Peaceful”

We stayed in Coral View for three nights. It was absolutely wonderful. Although not fancy, the house is comfortable and stocked adequately. It is so quiet and peaceful--we spent most of our time either lounging on the front porch or jumping from it into the Caribbean, kayaking or fishing. Mark was wonderful in arranging transportation from our first location to the boat dock where we were picked up. There were six of us adults and all our luggage, so transportation had been challenging! Mark also arranged for transportation to the airport at the end of our stay, which, again, was a blessing.
The house comes with a caretaker/boat driver, two trips to Bocas Town/day and a local cell phone to contact either Mark or Brown(the caretaker). Brown (the caretaker) was the best! He understands/speaks English well enough that you can communicate with him even if your Spanish is poor. His sense of humor is great. He was prompt and pleasant the entire time. He even caught bait for us so that we could fish and brought us a lovely queen conch shell. I would recommend Coral View to anyone who is looking for a quiet peaceful vacation off the grid!

“Most relaxing spot I have ever been”

Thanks so much mark for letting us stay at your beautiful place.
It is isolated with the most beautiful view (we even had a dolphin and a stingray swim right by our deck). This place is so relaxing, many days we didn't even go into town. Our biggest decision was should we swim again, kayak, drink another coffee or hang out and pet Winston, the local dog who visits frequently.

The kitchen has everything you would need. We cooked everyday and sipped rum punch looking at the ocean.

Mark was great at helping us organize day trips, we had a surf lesson, rented a boat for the day to visit near by islands and the best was jungle horseback riding with Dave Hopper! A day with Dave includes riding horses through isolated jungle ( he cut his own trail with his pal Narcisso), visiting a local village for lunch and taking in the spectacular views. It was an amazing experience!

We hope to come back next year!

Marc supplied bug spray and we recommend using it bc sometimes you can't even tell that they are biting you...(maybe it was the rum punch??)

Coral View House is exceptional in all ways. We had a group of 6 and stayed for five nights. Mark was so helpful in helping us to organize trips and make sure the launch drivers were there for us. Most accomodating. THe kitchen and setting were so great we cooked in every night. The launch driver would sop at the local fish market to get :
"catch of the day" and fresh vegetables . That is except for New Years Eve when we went to Cosmic Crab for a great evening and the MOST amazing fireworks display. That show lasted over an hour.
Everything needed was provided. Can't say enough great things. Oh and make sure you keep Winston the wonder dog at the house!

Twoey,

Thank you for the nice review. You and your family were great guest and please come back whenever you want. Also thanks for the nice tip the boat driver got on News Year. He was very happy. I could tell Winston was a little spoiled during your stay.

Thanks Again,
