We were originally booked into Casa Luna for three nights but ended up staying for five! The rooms are spotlessly clean & every day both your bed sheets and bath towels are changed. There was also an aircon unit plus two fans in our room (depending on your preference you could use either), plus cable tv, free wifi, pc for Internet & hot water!
The location is really central to town, but far enough away so that it's quiet and as previously said the interior is lovely because it's all wooden. From the outside the hotel doesn't look anything special, but it's like a retreat inside and the hammocks are a bonus.
Alberto & his wife are very friendly & helpful. Nothing is a problem for them and you get the best pizza here :-). Would not hesitate to go back here or to recommend this place to family and friends.

My boyfriend and I made a last minute decision to head to Bocas del Toro and ended up arriving at night, in the pouring rain. Do not let the view of the hotel from the outside scare you, inside it's safe, clean and warm. The owner, an outgoing and friendly Italian man, welcomed us in, led us to our room right away and then let us settle in without worrying about the paperwork that normally comes with checking in. Our room was on the 2nd level, at the back of the hotel so it was very quiet. (I highly recommend asking for a room at the back of the hotel so you avoid the noise from their restaurant.) The rooms have wonderful A/C, hot water that never failed us and working TVs, and they were spotless. The restaurant downstairs is a bit pricey but their pizza is fabulous. If the owner isn't around and you want to grab beer, water or soda, you simply write it down on with your room number on their running tabs which they keep out for convenience. There's also a small store right across the street where you can pick up drinks, beer and snacks.

The location of the hotel is perfect, it's one and a half blocks from the bank and ATM, and two and a half blocks from the main strip in town with stores and restaurants.

One thing I do recommend to bring, if possible, is an extra sheet or thin blanket. The beds at the hotel only have one thin sheet to cover you and if you have the A/C on, it's nice to have something extra to lie under.

We found this hotel on tripadvisor. When we arrive on Bocas we walked to this hotel to see if there was a room free. We were lucky. We didn't know how long we would stay but that was no porblem. We ended up staying for 6 nights and we stayed one more after we had been to Bastimentos. We really liked the place. The rooms are clean and the shower is the best i had in 5 weeks Panama. The owners are super nice. They make a good pizza, in the morning a nice breakfast and they speak their languages!

This place is so clean! The design is lovely with so much great wood. Our room was spacious with lots of light and a nice balcony area too. AC and fan, tv and fridge, hot water shower - a great deal! :) Location is good and not loud like some of the others. The owners are friendly and their pizza is delicious too!

I stayed at Cala Luna for a week in June of 2009. It is a great deal, especially in the low season. I had a room with TV, hot water, fridge and AC with a double bed. A/C is a MUST in Bocas! The TV even had movie stations. The hotel is located about a 5 minute walk from the main street, about 2 blocks away. It is a good location if you want to be slightly removed from the craziness. You cannot hear the planes, although it is also two blocks from the airport. Alberto (the owner) and his wife are very helpful, hospitibale and nice. The pizza and calzones are very delicious and priced appropriately as well. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
