“Skip the cheapest tours and get the better value here!”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

Bocas is full of motorboat tours offering to speed you around the different islands on the cheap. All I can say is their passengers looked longingly at us as they spend by in their cramped boats while we lazed around the spacious catamaran taking in the sights and the sun. Worth an extra $20? Most definitely. The owner, Marcel, is an ex-pat long time Bocas dweller with an impressive sailing resume. He knows the spots to go and has plenty of knowledge to share if you ask. We saw rays, dolphins, and a school of huge fish, whose name escapes me, just from the deck. The snorkeling was simply beautiful. Even when we went in the rainy season when the water tends to be murkier, there was plenty to see. The two different reefs provided totally different experiences and made for a great combination. All in all, if you do one tour in Bocas, this should be it. Incredible value. Also, reserve online if you can.

“Love it!!”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

I have done this tour for over 40 times! I am a tour guide and always bring my groups over here, who love it as much as I do! So much better than driving one of the speed boats, if the wind is good, the sails go up and you can just enjoy the sun and have a great relaxing day!

“Best snorkling of my life”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

Very beautiful coral formations, lots of dolphin sightings, lunch included. Our captain, Eddie, was delightful and informative as he skillfully maneuvered the catamaran, and is a great sandwich maker as well!

“Watch the world go by from your catamaran”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Although there are many reviews for a number of tours that take you around the highlights of the islands, the Bocas Sailing option is a little different. The catamarans (they have two) are more a "sailing" opportunity than the "whizz there and back in a water taxi" that most of the others seem to offer.

For $45 per person, you get a full day on board a leisurely boat with real sails (with a little help from a teeny engine).

On our trip we had two opportunities to snorkel (one with coral, one with more fish) and we DID see a fair few dolphins (a pod, including babies!) as we were silent and appreciative rather than noisy and scary (see Water Taxis for more details).

Sandwiches (a yummy sub each) after first snorkelling and fresh fruit after the second were most welcome. Drinks (both soft and beer) at $1 a bottle were good value.

Highly recommended

“Great Day!”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

We had a lovely outing with Bocas Sailing.

Chris and Alexandra were our hosts, and told great stories and showed us really nice places for snorkeling and swimming.

Incl in the price was nice home made sandwiches (rolls (white) with ham, cheese and tomatoes).

You could purchase soft-drinks and beer on board for 1$, tasted great after some swigs of the salty ocean ;)

Chis' daughter was also on board, and she was super lovely!
