Owner description: ATV/Quad Rental Flying Pirates - ride an ATV, with or without a guide, through a private, off-limits-to-everyone-else, 1,500 acre rainforest! Your day begins in the heart of Bocas town, where you will be picked up and shuttled to our secondary location just outside of town. We offer surf racks, for those of you wanting to hit the waves while you are out, and all of our bikes come with lock boxes attached for your cameras and cash. Wind your way out of town until you hit Bluff Road and just keep right on going until you reach our property. The Flying Pirates trails will take you through the jungle, then alongside pristine beaches, all perfect for a pit stop and some swimming. Rock Beach, La Piscina and, the newly accessible Blue Lagoon, are all gorgeous natural water formations perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Explore the caves at the tip of the island, and return through Monkey Trail. If you rev your engines a little bit, the monkeys might just yell back at you.

“One of the best things to do in panama”

Saw the quad tour, thought... Well... Why not. It's rainy season and I can't do much else. Like some of the other reviews said, Steve the bad a## pirate gave us the little operational and safety brief and let is go wild on 1500+/- acers of pure panama jungle. They offer guided tours, but (as we did) you can also go off on your own. He'll stress where you can and cannot go... Give you some tips... Then you are on your merry way! It was one of the best things I have done. Take a day, and do this. You'll see the blue lagoon, isolated beaches, and pure awesomeness... All on your own. And this is real... You might get stuck... There are some tight spots... But it's a real genuine experience. Plus the dude will drink with you after. I'll stress this again... Come check out the flying pirates and have some fun!

“A fun thing to do in Bocas! ”
Reviewed 11 July 2014 via mobile

Be prepared to get dirty. The quad was reliable, we had no problems. During our time on the trails we ran into three different staff members so there is peace of mind if you do break down. Also we seen many people on the trails. The company does its best to keep the traffic one way on the trails. The owners are super friendly, probably the most friendly people we meet on the island. A bit pricy so get the quad early in the day so you have it all day!!

“Most fun you'll have with your pants on”

So we show up at this joint thinking that it'll be another lame tour, "don't go too fast, not through THAT puddle!" and it just wans't. Steve meets us, proper pirate by the way, and shows us the rigs. Great little machines, in good repair and ready to roll. I would suggest MAKE SURE YOU LET THEM DO THE AXLE CHECK it might save you some coin later. They basically let you do what ever you want with these machines but if you break, you buy. After the formalities, Steve says, "well, hes' 1500 acres of trails, beaches and mud. Go kill it" No tour guide, no bull$hit. We had seven of us killing this course of some of the best trails I've ever seen. Gaps, mud, rivers, beaches, sand you name it. Super fun. We were all so muddy by the end, it took three days to wash everything out. Big smiles all around. Do this trip.

“Fantastic ATV trial.”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

We had a great adventure with the Flying Pirates. The bikes are really well maintained, Steve showed us the route, he was very professional, he emphasised safety, but fun and of course, stay off the beaches that were banned because of turtle nesting....I very much respected the emphasis that the FP put on both sustainable ecotourism and respect for the environment and the local community.
The trail itself was diverse, with hard top, sand and jungle to ride through and some tricky sections which were hard to negotiate. We came back feeling we had had a real adventure. I recommend taking some drinks and swimming gear, so you can enjoy La Piscine on the way. No wonder its number !!

“best attraction in bocas”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

Off the chart jungle experience .rent an atv and go out toward bluff ,keep going on jungle trails and come to remote swim holes and beaches .also ride to el Drago for swim at starfish beach .This gives you a real feel for the place .Don't get discouraged by the town of bocas ,it is poor ,the people mean well ,and can be friendly , but out of town is tropical paradise .We have seen sloths ,Toucans, falcon , monkeys ,butterflies, not to mention all the plant types and other birds .great swimming and snorkeling pools to really enjoy the place .come with open mind and enjoy this really special place .
