This hotel at first appears to be a grand hotel but it lacks something to make it truly 5* and personal. It took me four visits to reception to change some currency. The buffet in the restaurant in the evening was very nice but small tables and cramped restaurant let it down a tad.

There is a big reception area but the reception desk can be crowded with people checking in and out. The ground floor is buzzy with lots of people and there's a great British pub-style bar with lovely old b/w photos on the walls and the crisps/nuts were the best we had in India.

Our bedroom was very small and only had a shower. Clean and perfectly adequate if you get the room at a good price. We only stayed one night as it was a stopover before we caught the train to Amritser at 7am the next morning (but that's another story). As the restaurant wasn't open when we left at 6am, the hotel did provide us with two very nice vegetarian picnic bags.

The hotel has really really bad wi-fi and it is VERY expensive for the level of service.

All in all, an okay place to stay but not outstanding.

it is a 30 yr old hotel without anything being spent on maintenance, do I need to say more, we booked this hotel as a last resort as we were not getting anything else, but we shouldn't have, rooms are small, you cant even walk, no place to keep your bags, bathroom is small, fittings are falling, only one phone in the room on one side of the bed, the size of the room is so small, i was shocked. please stay away from this hotel, even if you have to pay a few thousands more, please choose something else, breakfast menu doesn't change at all, same things being served everyday

This hotel was a stopover as part of our golden triangle trip. The entrance of the hotel is swanky and front office staff were very professional. But once you got up to the room, it was small, was dirty and was badly in need of refurbishment. So although a 5 star hotel, the room is old and musty so you're not really getting your monies worth. The food was also mediocre compared to other 4 star hotels in other Jaipur.

We had a group of four the lobby to the hotel was grand and raised our expectations of this hotel.
But once we were allocated our rooms the sham was revealed. The walls were grimy, carpet was filthy this was even before we entered the rooms. Once in the room it was musty, old the bathroom was unclean, shower fittings were rusted. Overall the rooms we were allocated were a total disgrace compared to what was on offer in the lobby. The restaurant was over crowded, noisy, smelly more like a noisy cafeteria. We check out the next morning and sought another hotel in New Delhi we were supposed to stay at the Royal plaza for 3 nights. Very poor impression of the place.

Room Tip: Do not stay here they need to renovate every room for them to reflect the facade they provide in the...

The hotel is on Ashoka road, very close to Connaught place and the Janpath market. Reasonably priced for the location. Rooms are just OK, Internet is chargeable as extra and the rates are exorbitant, Check in and check out takes a while as they have limited staff at the reception. General ambience of the hotel is great, the lobby is very well done.

Room Tip: Please go for a deluxe room, standard rooms are too small.
