“Dreadful Atmosphere and Very Average Food”

It has the worst atmosphere we have ever experienced due to its layout and 'brown' surroundings. Hyatt can do better than this. As for the food it was no better than an average Indian in Aberdeen and with two glasses of wine was over £100. You really would expect great indian food in delhi but just don't bother. The Indian in the ITC holtel, a Sheraton of sorts, is ten times better and a lot cheaper. Again as with the hotel the staff were great.

Visited in july this year for a small business trip.
had dinner at Aangan.
Ordered some butter chicken, paneer kadai along with some butter naans and afghani murgh tikka which was to die for.
Had to be some of the best food i have had.

Restaurant is in Hyatt where we were staying - had read good reviews so decided to try it. Disappointing - food no better than an average Indian in the UK. Very expensive - we shared a starter and 2 mains, plus rice (at £6 a bowl!!) and it came to £60. Extortionate. Minced lamb kebab starter was good, but waiter promised my husband a good Rogan Josh - but what came was an insipid sauce with no depth of flavour, and a bony lamb shank with hardly any meat. My curry was so unmemorable I can't even recall what I ordered!

If you must eat in the hotel - try the Italian (dear but good food) or maybe the buffet (about 1700 Rupees each - we didn't try it).

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hyatt and wanted to try authentic Indian food and my guidebook recommended the Aangam restaurant located in the lobby of the Hyatt so we decided to give it a go. The food is so flavorful and the service is very attentive. We played it a bit safe and ordered things we recognized from what we have tried before and it far surpassed the Indian restaurants we have eaten at so far. We spent over 2 hours enjoying our dinner and the listening to musicians playing in the middle of the restaurant.

We normally don't eat anywhere twice while on vacation but were so happy with our first meal that we chose to do it again the next night and as soon as we walked in they recognized us and sat us at our same table and even remembered what we drank from the previous night and asked if they could start us with the same cocktails again. We had a different server our second night and he recommended a 4 course set menu that was also so fantastic! This is a great Indian restaurant with 5 star service to match. I highly recommended it for everyone!

This restaurant is located in the lobby level of Hyatt Regency hotel, new Delhi. The cusine is classic indian. Food was of high quality, as well as the service. There is also a live indian band playing traditional indian music during the dinner hours. Overall, it's a must in new Delhi!
