Our first stop in India. Amax was a decent start: pretty clean, relatively basic (though with A/C), quite a good bathroom (hot water quite reliable), good location for sights and for railway terminus. Staff are friendly, helpful and not pushy at all (unlike every other trader in Delhi).
WiFi only in foyer encourages people to meet each other and chat in reception, rather than hide in bedrooms. Breakfast on rooftop cafe is pleasant and good value.
They also arranged airport pick-up, which went smoothly, for 650 Rupees.
