This hotel is very impressive when you first enter it. The lobby is huge and well designed and has a real wow factor. The service at check-in was smooth and efficient and we were greeted with a refreshing cold drink, very welcome after a long night flight. Our room was large and comfortable, with a well-equipped bathroom (complete with glass panel looking into the bedroom - thankfully with a screen that could be lowered!). The fittings and furniture were of a very high standard and the bed was comfortable. We ate in the buffet restaurant and had good service - the food was good quality and there was a reasonable choice. The second night we ate in the bar, which had excellent ambience and service, and the food was also good (with a more limited bar snack menu). We had some excellent cocktails. Breakfast was also good. The location of the hotel is reasonable - it is a very long way out of the city centre but the Metro is just across the road, which took around half an hour to get to Connaught Place. The traffic in Delhi is a nightmare and one evening it took almost 2 hours to get back to the hotel from the centre. That is the biggest drawback of the hotel. There isn't very much in the near vicinity - there's a shopping centre next door but the shops were limited so it's not great. There is a nice outdoor pool on a roof terrace and a well-equipped gym (which we just looked at!) Overall a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at the start of our Golden Triangle tour.
