This place is excellent and clean and in a great area of Paharganj - that is around the corner from the super-touristy area. In fact
The service is excellent and the wifi actually works (unlike so many hotels in India).
If you're looking for something cheap and excellent - there's a great little hidden restaurant just up the road and across the high street called "Darwar" (ask for "Duh-rih-wah" and people will point you to it) - great veg thalis and it's a local favourite. Don't fall for any of the tourist traps selling all rich meat dishes to foreigners.
Delhi is a difficult city, so - even if you're backpacking - it's worth it to invest in a really clean, comfortable place like this to come home to.
The service is excellent. I had lost an expensive pen the morning before - and instead of dismissing me, they mobilized three people to look for it. The pen didn't turn up but I really appreciated that they took the time - and I probably lost the pen somewhere else in the city.
Skip the cabs! Take the airport metro directly to New Delhi station which is just around the corner! It's super cheap and clean and 15 minutes and you don't have deal with Delhi traffic which is brutal at best. Take a rickshaw or a cab from the metro for 40 rupees or just walk if you don't have much luggage.
