“Lovely, immaculate guesthouse”
Reviewed 20 August 2013

We are a couple with a three-year-old and we stayed at Amaaya for ten days. We couldn't have had a better experience. Ruuma is a wonderful proprietor, and the room itself - attractively furnished, well air conditioned, and with a view of the leafy neighborhood - was very comfortable and charming. The place feels like a real home away from home, with all good amenities and nice shower/bathroom; and the omelets served at breakfast are the fluffiest we've ever had. The atmosphere is refined in terms of the physical surroundings and relaxed/warm in terms of the human reception. It's not near a metro station (nearest one is 1.5 ams away), but autos and taxis are just outside and easily available. It is right near Nizamuddin Railway Station, Humayun's Tomb, and is a stone's throw from all central Delhi sites.

Wonderful homely place, in Nizamudin area surrounded by gardens and old trees.
Peaceful and extremely homely and clean and comfortable.
Warm welcome, you really feel like you are staying with friends.
I had wonderful yoga session and massages arranged by Ruuma.
It is very interesting to have such an interesting hostess, Ruuma.

The guest house is lovely, breezy and tropical-feeling. A home-like atmosphere. The rooms were charming, clean, and spacious. Wi-fi, too. Ruuma was charming and helpful. The breakfast was superb. We never needed much lunch after feasting on omelets, toast, marmelade and tea. Absolutely terrific.

The Amaaya guest house is lovely, clean, and comfortable. After a day touring around Delhi in the heat, we retreated to Amaaya and sat out on the beautiful roof top garden, sipping Chai, enjoying the breeze, and looking over the city. We felt at home there, comfortable to come and go. Amaaya is in a very pretty neighborhood.
Ruma (the owner) is friendly, sweet, and always concerned that her guests are comfortable with all needs met.
Breakfast was delicious! There was always Chai to drink and plenty of clean, filtered water.
The bathroom was very nice and up to Western standards.
I loved touring Delhi, but did get exhausted from the heat, dust, and busyness of the city. Ruma's was an oasis at the end of the days.

I much enjoyed my stay at the Amaaya Guesthouse, which is situated in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood in Delhi. There are a number of parks close by. In the guesthouse you can use the nice rooftop terrace. Ruuma is a charming host and nice and interesting personality to chat with. She will make everything to make you feel at home. The rooms are nicely furnished. If you don't feel like going out for dinner every night you even get a delicously prepared vegetarian meal, something I personally very much appreciated.
