NO drinking water provided in the room.when aked to get for us,the staff wants the money straight away after delivering it to u in your room. never will give the change back if u give them the money. even for a cold drink,u pay straight away n never get the change back.
the housekeeping is greedy for money and always waiting for tips.
NO hot water to shower straight away,have to call front desk for hot water and will be provide in your shower taps after 10 min. after they switch the hot water geyser of the hotel.
if u wana book a delhi sight seeing trip, they don't have a travel desk in the hotel
also there r a number of travel agencies which very near to the hotel if u would like to book a trip in and outside delhi.
we booked it from these travel agents outside the hotel.
but the hotel will never recomend you for trip outside delhi because they want you to stay in their hotel more longer, so they can make money on their rooms.
there are several other hotels also being constructed next to the hotel,so the are outside tthe hotel is dusty and dirty.
construction noise will start at 10am till 6 pm. so your rooms can hear the noise.
bedsheets are somewhat clean,but never look under the bedsheet,as the matress protector is never washed and has too much stains.
i did not feel clean for 2 nights and after that me and husband decided to change the hotel.
hotel owner partners are always present at the reception,try to give u wrong guidance ,so u can stay longer in their hotels ,so they can make more money on their rooms.
overall money minded hotel staff and poor service.

I’ve been in Livasa Inn at the Channa Market in Delhi for some nights.
It’s a nice hotel with (very) good rooms. I really liked it.
But I want to say something about the safety of goods.
I left some money in the hotel room and in some hours it was gone.

I don’t know what we have to expect from hotels in Delhi.
Maybe it’s ‘normal’ that you can’t leave valuable things in your rooms?!
For me it was a kind of cold shower to find out that even in this kind of quality hotel your properties are not safe.

The staff of the hotel was not open to solve my problem.
They promised to pay me back ‘if they would find the thief’.
Of course they didn’t, because the thief must have a key from my room.
I don’t know who were involved in stealing the money, but I would think the staff would do much more to recognize and solve this problem.

This email is more about new clients.
Please be open about the risks in hotels.
Do you tell them not letting any valuable stuff in their room?
Or do you warn the staff of Livasa for what happened to me, so they can take some measures for avoiding this kind of problems.

If people steal (a small amount of) money it’s not nice, but if big amounts (f.e. euro’s), creditcards or even passport has been stolen it can be a disaster.
So it’s good for people who stay in a hotel to know what to do.
Or trusting the hotel or never letting valuable goods in their room.

Please take my experience in consideration when you send people to certain hotels.
Ask the staff of the hotel to make themselves trustworthy or let them warn for the risks.

I like to give you this general information so you know what’s going on.
I want to keep it general and show a direction to think through.
If you like to get more detailed information, I can give (when, where and how).

Hope, I’ve given some helpful information to develop a more secure environment for the tourists in Delhi.

The decor is very good, however the bed linen and towels looked a bit suspect. Staff were begging for tips every time they entered the room. The FREE hotel pick up is everything but free (400 rupees) and the driver was trying to get me to pay him before I entered the hotel. Which means I would have had to pay twice!
Room service was good, so was the food.
Upon leaving we never even got a thank you or goodbye from any staff, especially manager who was so busy counting his money, he never looked up once, even if on purpose I loudly said goodbye 3 times......did not leave a huge tip on account of this.
Hotel is somewhat clean, bathroom is also clean but don't go there if you don't want to be ripped off by staff on every occasion.
