“Decent place, but overrated”
Reviewed 15 January 2011

Stayed at the Saket B&B before and after New Year's Eve. It's located in an apartment builiding where 3 apartments (top floors) have been converted to a B&B. This is a bit impractical as the staff isn't on all floors, so every time you have to get in, you ring the bell and the staff has to come down/up.
The staff sleeps in the kitchen.
The place is immaculate, rooms large, good toilet facilities, etc.
Delhi in Dec./Jan. was very cold and the small heaters couldn't warm the bedrooms. Breakfast is very basic and bland.
We were promised that the owner would be contacted about finding a seamstress to sew som clothes out of purchased fabric. This was never followed up.
All in all ok at the price, but lacks charm and true friendliness.

I have had a really bad experience in Delhi in 2009. So when I was going to India last November, I spent hours and hours on Internet researching the places to stay. I have found Saket Bed & Breakfast here, on Trip Advisor and I never looked back. This place is amazing ! Spacious and very, very CLEAN !!! Free wifi was definately a bonus. After exhausting few days in Punjab, all we wanted was to relax and to sleep. When we got to Saket, we were greeted by Arnand. He was very pleasant and very helpful. The other two guys helped us with the backpacks and served the cold drinks. Now, the shower. There is a huge, walk in shower! I have to embarassingly admit that the shower is bigger than I have at home. And hot water!
I am definately staying there when next time in Delhi and I have already recommended Saket to few of our clients going to India.
Big thumbs from me!

We had a wonderful experience at the Saket b&b. It is located in a very convenient part of Delhi with plenty of food and shopping nearby and just a 2 minute walk from the metro. The entire place is brand-new, and our room/bathroom was beautiful and comfortable. The owner, Anand, is extremely helpful in providing guidance and advice of places to see/go while in Delhi. His new manager Tapas is also fantastic, and went above and beyond expectations to make us feel at home. The food and service are both excellent, and you can even order lunch or dinner at the b&b if you give them enough notice. I don't think for their reasonable prices you could possibly find a better place to stay in the city.

We stayed at Saket B&B as a family for nearly 9 days. I had meetings to attend and my husband watched our 16-month-old daughter while I was gone during the day. We arrived at 5am at Delhi International Airport and made it to the B&B by pre-paid cab at around 7am. Even though we'd reserved from that evening, Anand (the owner) gave us a room almost immediately, as well as breakfast, and we slept a good 5 hours after which we went out to explore the area. For those who crave Western food, there's a Dominos pizza, Pizza Hut, McDonalds, and Ruby Tuesday within a 5 minute walk from the B&B. You can also order take-away from various Indian restaurants who deliver to the hotel. However, we discovered absolutely delicious Indian food at the B&B itself. The Nepalese cook makes delicious dahl, chicken curry, and various other dishes. You can specify the level of spiciness. Another employee serves hot roti during the meal. At 250 rupees per person, this is an incredible deal. Plus dessert! Breakfast includes a choice of eggs, cereal, toast, fruit and coffee/tea and is served from 7am to noon.

The staff were very kind and accommodating and loved trying to get our daughter to play with them. She enjoyed throwing her ball to them and playing peek-a-boo. We really felt at home. The bathrooms are lovely and there are hot showers. One of the big plusses, from our point of view, is the hotel's proximity to the Saket Metro Station (a 5-minute walk), which is on the yellow line that takes you to the center of the city in 30 minutes. Absolutely brilliant and almost always faster than getting a car. However, you can take an auto (rickshaw) to various sites around there - for example, we went to the Garden of the Five Senses (a 10-minute ride, max) and the Citywalk Mall (which has a good food court) - also about 10 minutes. Qutub Minar is one metro stop away.

I'm happy to take questions about the place. Can definitely recommend.

Very close to the metro (which gives some independence from taxis and autorickshaws), outside the usual Hotel areas, made this neat, friendly staffed, clean, comfortable B & B for us a perfect start for our first trip to Delhi. Local tasty foodcourt/restaurants and a cinema are in walking distance. Neighbourhood is a normal middle-class living area, not touristy, which we liked very much and you could calm down from the buzzling craziness of the city center. Good breakfast and helpful advise from Anand, who runs this place.
There was no outside sign at the house, but the address D21 is only one specific building in Block D of the area, so just walk up the stairs and ring at 3rd Floor.

A real recommendation, and ok value for money.
