“More Than a BnB - It's a Home Away from Home”
Reviewed 22 December 2013

My daughter and I started and ended our trip at the Lifetree Bed & Breakfast in November. I am so glad we chose a South Delhi location rather than staying in the CP area. The metro station was within 5 minutes of walking. We walked to the market nearby (I ran out of clean socks) and explored restaurants and stores (some are really fancy!) in the neighborhood. We went to a really good restaurant that they showed us on the first night and walked back to it on our last night in Delhi (we ordered a masala martini). Kanta did so many things for us. She booked the train from Jaipur back to Delhi, kept our luggage while we went to Nepal and then Agra and Jaipur, told us how much taxi and tux-tux should cost for our various trips, let us use her computer, advised us on where to shop, ect... We dined with her and her husband one night. We asked in the last minute if we could eat at their place. I could tell that the workers were scrambling a bit but didn’t want to deny us. Oh yes, I watched how they interacted with their boss, Mrs. Kanta, and it’s obvious that they cared for each other. Kanta also arranged for a car tour for us – excellent driver with impeccable English.
The BnB is not on a major street, so it’s rather quiet at night, and that’s a blessing. Our room was large. I think Kanta should put two double beds in there and charge more money. The cost is just so reasonable, and whenever I walked downstairs, there would always be someone there to offer me tea of coffee.
Our experience in Delhi - and the whole trip - was a splendid one, thanks to Kanta and her husband ( a cultured gentleman, wonderful to talk to), and her lovely staff. The longer we stayed there, the more I appreciated the place and the lovely people, and I highly recommend the place.

Myself and my friend stayed in Delhi in November 2013 and had a lovely 4 night stay at The Life Tree BnB. Kanta and her team made us feel extremely welcome as soon as we arrived and helped us plan what to see and do in Delhi. The location was excellent being a short walk from the metro which we used everyday to see the sights of Delhi. The rooms are large, clean and spacious and there is Wifi available. Breakfast was included and nothing was too much trouble including organising transport to Agra and airport pickup. I would definitely recommend staying at The Life Tree in Delhi and will stop there again.

Thank you to Kanta and everyone at The Life Tree for a lovely 4 day stay!!

I stayed at The Lifetree Bed & Breakfast in November of this year with my friend. We were traveling around India and Delhi was our first stop. We stayed for 4 nights and had a fantastic stay. The Lifetree is in an excellent location for exploring Delhi and is within easy walking distance of the metro which is a great way of getting easily getting around Delhi. Although the Bed and Breakfast is very central it is very quiet and restful once inside.
We were made to feel so welcome here by the lovely Kanta and her fabulous friendly staff. The rooms were extremely clean with everything that you could need. The shower was great with hot water and the bed was very comfortable.
Every morning breakfast was provided if you wanted and Kanta gave us fantastic advise on how to get around Delhi and which attractions were good to see. She also provided us with little maps so we could find our way around which proved to invaluable.
Kanta also arranged a car to pick us up very early on the morning we were leaving which took us to Agra at a very reasonable price. The driver was very pleasant and arrived on time to take to us onto Agra which was the next part of our trip.
We were 2 girls traveling together and felt incredibly safe at the Lifetree. Everybody was very friendly and welcoming and we were really well looked after. It really did feel like being at home. I would definitely recommend the Lifetree to anyone who wished to stay in Delhi and I would stay again with no hesitation.

Fabulous stay. Thank you Kanta and to your wonderful staff.

Elizabeth

The amazing Kanta and her lovely staff made my family and I feel extremely welcome, cared for and safe, which was so important on our first trip to Delhi.
Lifetree is super clean and beautifully presented and the location is fantastic. Right in the centre of a bustling street with a convenience store next door and a chemist 2 doors away. Cafes, a large retail centre and the metro station are 5 minutes walk away and just around the corner are some great markets. The rooms were quiet and cool, the beds were extremely comfortable and the breakfast delicious.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Lifetree and we will certainly be staying there again as soon as we can.

It`s not the cheapest place to stay, but the Lifetree is worth every rupee! Returning to the family atmosphere is amazing after an exhausting day exploring Delhi. Plus: the breakfast is delicious! Lajpat Nagar is in the middle of all the sights, so either you get a tuktuk or you go by metro, which is also super easy and comfortable.

Excellent value for money, very clean rooms and good breakfast. Location is great its near to Lajpat Nagar Market and Metro Station. Lifetree is owned and run by a lovely couple who are very friendly and helpful and have many years experience in Tourist and Travel business. We stayed five days here on our arrival and three days again before leaving India and will come and stay again next time. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Good service / Nice clean rooms / Internet access / Good breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago. This place is exactly what it advertises. Warm Hospitality with clean rooms and central location. Initial finding this place maybe a bit tricky. Very centrally located, warm and hospitable staff and the incredible Mrs. Kanta make this a very good budget stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good and pocket friendly accommodation in Central Delhi.
