“Mughal tour of Delhi”
Reviewed 9 November 2013

Punctual, full of personality and very well researched and full of information; we found Surekha an excellent guide who showed us places off the "regular beaten track" which we would never have discovered for ourselves. She also has great personal connections in all the sites we visited, gaining access to hidden gems. A brilliant insight into Delhi, it's history and culture. Would definitely recommend this lady.
All entrance fees and tips are covered by the tour fee, including a great meal in a truly typical bit of Old Delhi - even to the extent of hand sanitizer, water and hygienic paper cups. We felt very safe and looked after.

“Hidden gems and narrow alleys”
Reviewed 3 November 2013

Surekha will bring you to places that you wouldn't see otherwise. The walks by Chandi Chowk in Old Delhi are a must. It is a great way to discover the Old city safely and try some of the street food. Surekha is very well prepared and will tell you a bit about the history of the city, the evolution, the cultures that mesh together to create this unique, overwhelming, incredible place that is Delhi. I also did the Yamuna river walk and I must say that I saw things I didn't expect to see in Delhi - hidden tombs, people bathing in the river, rituals etc. Truly extraordinary! This is not a tour that will rip you off like so many others. Surekha does not take advantage of tourists, her tours are inexpensive and totally worth it.

“Wonderful person, brilliant guide”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

We researched Delhi tour guides and hit the jackpot when we found Surekha, the magician. She adapted easily to our interests and made our time in Delhi informative and exciting. We warmed quickly to her as a person and friend, and enjoyed her company on all occasions we shared. When we said our farewells we promised to return as soon as possible and insisted that Surekha visit us on her planned trip to Australia in 2014. We were impressed with her candour, knowledge and ability to direct others so they would fall into line with her intentions - most impressive. We suspect she was a general in a past life!!

“Sunset tour of Humayun's Tomb - magical!”
Reviewed 21 October 2013

Our family of 4 (children 13 and 8 years old) went on Surekha's sunset tour of Humayun's Tomb earlier this month. All four of us enjoyed it very much, and I am thrilled that both our sons had so much fun exploring - the after-dark portion of the walk was such a treat. She had arranged for our group to stay in the grounds after closing time, so we felt like privileged guests in this imposing monument.

The tour included other small monuments in the area, some of which are quite hidden away, and Surekha brought them to life with her encyclopaedic knowledge of Delhi history.

We're looking forward to exploring more of Delhi on Surekha's other walks!

“Outstanding guide”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

Yesterday I took Surekha's tour of Mehrauli Village. Her knowledge of Delhi is very impressive and she takes you to places you would never find (or dare to enter!) on your own. She reveals a fascinating side of the city with great enthusiasm and energy. I have travelled to about 50 countries and she is one of the best guides I have ever met. I could not recommend her more highly.
