Due to the excellent location near embassy, i was stayed there for a night. I took a bed in a four bed compartment which had AC facilities, costing 530 INR. The Ac was making too much noise though the location is very much Quiet and safe. The only problem is that the wifi not available in the Room but in Dining hall which closes at 10 pm. The breakfast is very much normal like four bread and banana with jelly.

Overall, for short stay its good and cheap. But remember to take a Locker with key if you have something valuable with you.

Room Tip: A/c Rooms is better as only four beds.

It is so quiet here! Thanks to the location right in the embassy enclave, this is a horn-free haven.
It is very handy to be able to have breakfast and organise your day in the 'restaurant', then head out for the day knowing there will be a hot shower on your return home that night!
This was very suitable for our family of five as we had a dorm-style room to ourselves with our own bathroom. Basic comfortable accommodation and fairly good service.

Location:
The location is more clean, less dusty, quiet, and more secure than the rest of the Delhi due to its proximity to the embassies and residences of the ministers. The worst part is the bad connectivity to the public transport system. The nearest Delhi Metro station, Race Course is about two kilometers from the hostel but really hard to get an auto (tuck-tuck) to reach there.

The location is really advantageous to those who have business in one of the embassies or the government offices nearby. Good enough for tourists who need a place to stay in the night.

Staff:
Expect the inefficient and ignorant face of Indian bureaucracy here. I had no problem in the check-in or checkout but their attitude was really cold and unwelcoming. I didn't expect otherwise. The service staff was friendly but a bit inefficient at times. I tipped one of the service staff upfront to make sure the room and washroom cleaned, bed was properly made, received clean sheets and towels.

Room:
I stayed in a four bed dormitory with attached washroom. The room was spacious and cleaner than any room in a hotel at Paharganj, Delhi. There was adequate heating inside the room. The washrooms (made in the balcony) were really small and a bit claustrophobic. It was really worth the money I spent. The rest depends on the cleanliness and manners of the other three guys sharing the room. The dormitories (on the top floor where I stayed) open to the terrace and were very airy and bright. Probably one of the best dorm available in Delhi.

Facility:
It is ridiculous that the wifi is limited to the lobby/dining hall.

There is no laundry facility inside the hostel but there is a guy who will collect the cloths and deliver it '(after a couple of days) after cleaning. I didn't got for it because these guys usually wash the cloths in the Yamuna river (water quality on par with the city drainage) or dirty 'dhobi ghat' (washing place). There is a laundry in the fire station adjacent to the hostel (a bit expensive). They wash the cloths on-site in clean water.

The breakfast was really basic (Coffee/tea with two toasted bread slices and an omelet) but one can buy additional breakfast. Lunch and dinner need to be reserved in advance. I found it expensive (200 INR) considering the quality of the food they serve.

It is a good idea to book the dorm/room online. A membership in HI hostel association is advantageous because a YHAI/HI membership (available till 16:00) is mandatory for the stay.

I stayed here when I had come to Delhi for the US Visa interview. The place is clean and has a good vibe. Location is also good and strategic. I had come without any booking so couldn't get the rooms, so I had to stay in the dorm which was quite decent. For rooms, make sure you do prior booking. The staff is not very friendly though.

Good place to stay for expats as well.

I have stayed in very few hostels but this one would have to be called one of the best. It is located in heart of Lutyen's Delhi. The place is clean and well maintained. You might have to try hard to get a private room but the dorms are neat and basic.
You will have to walk a bit to get a bus. Auto rickshaws are easily available outside the gate. Their breakfast was awesome with poori and aloo sabji Though the menu is not extensive it is OK.
I would recommend it to all travelers it is definitely a value for money, just dont be put off by the staff.

I have stayed at this property couple of times, it is a property in an up class area with embassies all around. Rooms are basic and one can get private rooms only if booked well in advance. The premises are neat, facilities are optimum but most importantly it is value for money. The staff needs to be a bit more polite and helping.

Room Tip: Book Private Room with attached bathroom

This hostel which is located in the diplomatic area of Delhi where most embassies are located is a safe place to stay in Delhi. It may be difficult to find auto rickshaw at times. Taxi stand is located just some 50 feet away from the hostel. There are very limited rooms in this hostel though air conditioned and non air conditioned dormitories may be available. Rent is basic and you will get basic complementary breakfast with it too. If you want to have some good food some restaurant are there very near to the hostel at malcha marg like fujiya, moti mahal , side wok etc. you can try this hostel if you are backpacking.
