I booked this hotel from Australia for a family visit through Expaedia(travel agency),over the phone expaedia promise to offer a large family room for us . When i saw the room it was to small for a family and was not fitting with there comitment over the phone.Hotel management than and there fixed the problem by offering a large room for us with no extra cost.I loved my stay over there ,staff was exceptionally helpful for everything. I was having my daughter with me visiting India for first time and there was a bit of problem for us to arrange food for her but the kitchen staff was very helpful for making the food.We were having complimentry breakfast in the morning that was delicious I still remember the taste. The whole staff was very helpful,if you ask for any help they are there to help you.WiFi internet connection was good.
During my stay I was very happy beacause the it was like a home enviroment.I have read some of the reviews about noise of trains I am pretty sure that they had also seen 5star Lalit hotel in the same street with approx 5 times tarrif as compared to this hotel.
I strongly recommend this hotel for any kind of trip and want to thanks whole staff for there great hospitality and kindness.
keep it up
thanks

Cleanliness was satisfactory. If you are on a business trip it is satisfactory as the location is very convenient.

Initially booked for 2 days and extended by 1 day more. When I asked for late checkout at 4 PM they insisted that I should pay for one day extra. We finally settled for 1,000 extra. But any professional hotel would not mind allowing late check out. They had in fact no guest waiting also. But they preferred to make that extra money than creating a satisfied customer who could repeat visiting.

If you are on a family find a better hotel. If you are on business trip this may be alright.

We are two western women who were in Delhi as part of a four week holiday in India. The hotel has a very small entrance area and the walls and stairways of the hotel are all grubby. The rooms could be quite nice if the windows fitted but as it is there are great gaps all round which let in not only the incredible noise from the railway but also the horrible gritty smog that covers the whole of Delhi and coats the windows of this hotel with black grime. The bathroom was reasonably clean but again the windows didn't fit and everything was covered with grime. The hotel doesn't appear to be licensed as when we ordered room service (which was cold) the beer came in a brown paper bag and had to be payed for on the spot costing nearly four times what it should have. The breakfast room looks like a not very clean underground canteen. When we asked to pay for our one and only room service meal the man on the desk refused to give us a bill and asked for twice what it should have been. On the third attempt he gave us a printed bill for the correct amount. When we were there they didn't have a proper restaurant but they do cater for large noisy parties for single men. We were the only women that we saw at this hotel so perhaps that had something to do with their attitude. We have traveled extensively in India and are quite used to Indian hotels in Delhi and other cities but would never return to this one.

We were in Delhi for the inaugaral F1 Grandprix and stayed at the hotel between the 28th and 31st of October 2011.
The hotel is located in a quiet by-lane just behind the Lalit hotel. Makes for a peaceful stay away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets. Its a 2 minute walk from Connaught Place and 5 minute walk from the metro station. Its a neat, clean, no fuss, hotel. The rooms are reasonably spacious, very clean and well equiped. The toilets too are extremely clean and good.

The Staff are friendly and serve you willingly irrespective of the time of your request. Something that is very very rare to find in such hotels usually. We checked in at 5am on 29th Oct into the room booked for 4pm checkin on 28th Oct!!!. They didnt make a fuss about the late check-in and were very pleasant when we eventually did.

The information you get from the staff and reception about where to explore for local food and shopping is very reliable and satisfactory.

If compelled to cribb, then the only points are that the plug points in the room are oddly located and there are no hooks in the bathroom to hang your clothes on!!! It doesnt have a swimming pool or gym but we werent looking for a hotel with either of these faclilities so it didnt matter. And, oh yes, I almost forgot, there is a railway line that's very close to the rear of the hotel. Avoid rooms there, but even there the windows are suitably re-inforced and cut out most of the noise from the few trains that occasionally toot a little too much!!! :-)

The food is also good at the hotel. we only had the starters and didnt consume anything else as we wanted to explore the local street food of the city.
The dust in Delhi afforded me a sore-throat that nearly ruined my trip. The kitchen staff willingly cooked up a brew made of honey, cinnanmon and ginger to soothe the irritation. I thought that was extremely thoughtful.

You can book directly or through some of the travel sites. We booked through cleartrip and were very happy with the rates we got. When booking you can speak to the GM of the hotel, a Mr.George, and he will put together a suitably priced package.

In short, a great place for business, transit or leisure travellers lookiing for a reasonably priced, centrally located, comfortable and hospitable place to stay.

Room Tip: no real fuss about the rooms. may be you can avoid rooms closer to the railway line. even then its n...
