“A walk through paradise”
Reviewed 21 May 2013

I happen to visit Talkatora Garden on day when the annual festival of flowers was on and truly the experience was out of this world. The garden authorities have made sure there is ample variety of flowers and spread over a huge section of the park.

To my advantage, each flower bush had a name tag, that helped me identify flowers and understand varieties and subtle differences. Feburary is month to visit the park

“T G”
Reviewed 2 February 2013

We visited the T G and the swimming pool during the CWG 2010 to see some of the diving and swimming events. Good arrangements, required good amount of walking from car park. We enjoyed our visit of few hours.

“Rivaling Lodhi Gardens”
Reviewed 19 April 2012

Going back to the days of Mohammad Shah and the Mughals… this Garden has a long historical connect that rivals the more famous Lodhi Gardens of Delhi.
Here the Mughals defeated the Marathas in 1738 AD. Today its called TalKatora as Tal means a lake and Katora means a bowl… A bowl shaped lake. These gardens are now known more for the swimming stadium than for the gardens itself. But one of the older green spots of Delhi.
