I stayed here late last year on a 3 day business trip to New Delhi. The hotel was booked for me so I was not involved in the selection process, but I couldn't have been happier with this hotel. The Imperial is located in the embassy district of New Delhi and upon arrival one can't help but be impressed by the lush landscaping and throwback architecture of the hotel. Both inside and out seems to be a hold-over from the "empire" days. As with everywhere I went in Delhi, service was very friendly and outgoing, really top-notch at the hotel. Everything about the room was great - well appointed, large main room and bathroom. Imperial's restaraunts were terrific especially the Spice Route. My only complaint at all was the breakfast room which was small and quite crowded. Walking around the hotel was a pleasure looking at the many paintings and statues. I very much look forward to my return to the Imperial.

Stayed there for 3 nights bafore going To Agra. Hotel was Wonderful, Nice Staff but Unfortunately I had a problem with my bedroom air conditioner and despite having called maintainance four times, They did not fixed until my last night when I became Very angry and the manager came To my room and finally They fixed it. This can not happen in a Hotel like this.

My husbansd and I stayed at the Imperial for 4 nights. We had a wonderful experience.
The rooms are grand. The hotel decore is outstanding (old world style).
The restaurants at the Imperial are outstanding. It strongly recomment Spice Route.
We also had SPA treatments at their newly renovated SPA. It was one of the best SPA experiences I have ever had.

THe Imperial is a most relaxing oasis in Delhi and a perfect starting off point for a tour of Rajastan. Service is the very best and the rooms a good size.
Prices in the main restaurants are not cheap but the choice at breakfast leaves nothing to be desired.
It is certainly a hotel to which we would happily return.

There is no question that the Imperial is an excellent hotel. A fabulous building, excellent restaurants, friendly helpful staff, lovely rooms.
My one complaint is about the delhi metro excavations to the front of the hotel.
We had heard about this before we booked, so checked with the hotel whether this would cause any disruption to our stay - they replied no.
However, please be advised the buliding work takes place all through the night, so if you are a light, jetlagged sleeper, this may not be the best hotel choice for you.
After complaining following a sleepless night we got moved to a much nicer room at the other side of the hotel.
Top tip - Avoid room 025 - the smell of damp is horrid! Even the oil burner couldnt disguise the stench.
Rooms on upper floors are probably preferable to those on the ground floor

This hotel was an excellent choice for us: the property is beautiful, with a lush garden and great interior decor. The location is unbeatable, in the hearth of New Delhi tourist hub. Restaurants are really good. Only downside if you do not book early you won't find rooms there.

Stayed for 3 nights at this excellent hotel. Food was superb (Spice route and Daniel's are exceptional). Staff friendly and their drivers very helpful. We had a great stay and would recommend the Imperial if you want a slice of luxury when visiting Delhi.
