“Home in Micro-Asia”
Reviewed 28 September 2011

I stayed at the ITC New Delhi for 9 days for work, and found it to be a very nice stay. Security is very tight, and the staff is very professional. The room was well appointed, and the bathroom was very luxurious. The housekeeping staff was great and took great care of me; they are also very security conscious; when I left my laptops out during a day-trip, they contacted me to let me know that the housekeeper had noticed them and asked a security guard to stay in the room while it was being cleaned. I never had any problems with anything disappearing. The concierge was also very helpful with making special arrangements.
The biggest downside was the fact that everything was always damp; but this is a regular challenge in New Delhi with the extreme heat and humidity.
The hotel car service (additional charge) was great, and my driver went out of his way to make us comfortable and feel safe. We took good care of him.
The restaurants in the hotel are also very good; we didn't have a bad meal the whole time. Once of them, Bukhara, is especially well know and was very good- but we enjoyed the Golf Bar and West View most nights for drinks and gathering (though Dublin is very nice, we like something more relaxed). The pool is gorgeous, as are the grounds. I'd definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: There isn't much of a view around the hotel, any high floor will be nice.

After the renovation, Maurya would rank as one of the best hotels in Delhi. Service is superb. The staff go out of the way to serve and please. Quality and variety of food is excellent. Stayed in the Towers section and ate breakfast at the tower lounge--the kitchen was very accomodating and made special dishes that were not on the menu. Eat at Bhukhara--pricey but worth it! Rooms are very nicely & tastefully furbished--all wall-to-wall paneling. Without traffic, about 15 mins to the airport.in nicest part of Delhi. No complains.

This is my third of fourth time here. The standard of service is still excellent. One of the best business hotels I have ever been to. My only comment would be that the 6 to 8 pm complimentary cocktails at the bar is welcome and fun. But the drinks should be premium ones.
And don't take the plastic cling-film off the snacks plate in front of my face. Do it discreetly so I don't have to watch you serving me a pre-prepared snack. I had an accident with my suit and a bottle of shampoo. The laundry guys got it dry cleaned in 3 hours. Near unsurpassable service. The internet in the room is not complimentary and has various speeds. Depending on the volume of your emails, skype usage and browsing, you're better off checking with their IT Concierge before taking the cheaper one.

Stayed 2 nights at the ITC Maurya on my way in and out of India to London. The first night was in the club tower and on the return in the Maurya suites.

Service is excellent, 5 star Indian standards, including a few lovely touches like a laundry voucher for 2 garments, unlimited free bottled water etc.

The tower room was much smaller than the Maurya suite. But rooms in the tower allow you access to the tower club room. Breakfast is served at the tower club room (which I did not try as I much prefer the unlimited spread at the Pavillion) There's free coffee and tea through the day in the tower club room and free cocktails and snacks for a few hours each evening.

Lift to the rooms in both buildings can only be accessed by a key card.

Eating at the ITC Maurya is expensive for Delhi standards. A simple meal for 2 will cost upwards of Rs3000. Food at Bukhara, West View Grill and Dakshin is excellent, but also very expensive.

The complimentary breakfast buffet at the Pavillion is excellent. There must be over 100 items on the menu. Sadly I could not do full justice to breakfast during either stay because of a 9am and 5am flight.

Toiletries are very good quality of ITC's own brands Fiama Di Wills and a men's range - Aqua.

The Maurya suite has a dressing room and a little corridor and the bedroom itself is twice the size of the tower rooms. Curtains are excellent and allow you to sleep through the day without any sunlight getting in. The pool looked lovely and welcoming, but the bed won the battle as we were exhausted with the hectic travel.

They have a currency exchange counter if you need to convert foreign currency to INR but not the other way around.

Plenty of stores on the ground floor, including a Wills Lifestyle store and another from which you can buy "Kitchens of India" ready to eat food to carry home.

A water heater and a French press with coffee and tea making facilities is provided in each room. There were complimentary brownies and biscuits and fruit in our room each time.

The suite had an ironing board and iron in the closet. Hairdryers too.

Its very close to the airport and that worked well for us on this trip.

Have visited this hotel many times for a meal on my trips to Delhi and stayed here recently for attending a wedding. The stay in this Hotel was a great experience! I'm short of words to explain the spirit of this Hotel. If I wishes could come true I would like to live in this Hotel for every visit of mine to Delhi! The Staff is excellent goes the extra mile on every little guest to wow you! You will feel special staying here and it will surely be a sheer delightful experience. Their Indian food is the best in the country, I doubt if there chefs ever leave them. Its a saying at the Hotel that if you are a visitor to Delhi and if you leave without experiencing Bukhara(North Indian Restaurant) that trip is incomplete! Though another favourite of mine is Dumpukth! The Kakori Kebabs are unmatched! If Mobil ratings were done in India, then these restaurants would be the first few they would visit and list! Best of luck to all of them on the show they put up! It is also the first choice Hotel in Delhi for top VIPs, I'm amazed to know who all have stayed here! They even have a Bill Gates suite! Maybe they even have a Bill Clinton Suite with the amount of times he has stayed here. It is surely a Hotel and an experience which is truly aspirational!

Room Tip: I stayed in a Luxury room which was huge! But their suites are excellent as well as their ITC One ro...

Great service and plenty of restaurants to choose from in the hotel. Housecleaning and laundry services were very prompt. Both had less than 10minutes response to your door. On a one off happening, it was a little annoying that one morning the phone rang twice as if it was a wakeup call that was not asked for. The room we got at the Tower was a bit small and not worth the rate paid for. That being said I must note that the location area of the hotel is at a pricey location.
