“Overrated!!! But very cheap and nice for business.”
Reviewed 3 January 2014 via mobile

When we first arrived I first saw a big scanner yo scan baggage and metel detector but the didn't scan our luggage nor scan us for weapons and stuff anyway we didn't have any but that made us feel a little unsafe. Check in was quick but elevators are kinda slow. The rooms were ok but a little small and cramped as we had just came from Taj Palace hotel, New Delhi. Bathrooms are ok but the shower partly see though. No children TV programmes - Only Animax. Breakfast was ok but disappointing because exactly at 10:30 the start removing all the food and when you ask them for cold milk which is always finished the lie and say there's no more even when the breakfast is full of people they just close the buffet and the chef is extremely unhelpful and rude. The WiFi is the worst I've ever seen with bad speeds and unstable connections. The pool is abandoned but the gym was nice. The malls are very far but the market place is quite close. The Indian restaurant is the best the food is superb. Service is also superb. It's worth it for a budget trip but of you like luxurys then Taj Palace is your best choice. Still nice stay.

The Met is an awesome hotel situated walking distance from Connaught place. The room was stunning but maybe ask for pool facing room as our room faced the road and we went in the wedding season so every night till about 3am it was very noisy in the venue across. The breakfast in this hotel is amazing and the hotel staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We needed to use the internet and the business centre was closed but the opened it especially for us very late at night. There's quite a few shops around the corner from hotel eg drycleaners, vodafone shop, supermarket etc.

spent 5 nights here in december 2013
good hotel with a lovely layout
rooms are spacious
bathrooms are modern
facilities are adequate
however what was disappointing was that the hotel does not offer free wifi
this is sad as there are other 4 star hotels that offer free wifi
sneha at the check in desk was most helpful and had a pleasant disposition
the hotel is not too far from connaught circle and is also close to the airport link rail network

Room Tip: pool facing rooms are slightly better

I have stayed twice at The Metropolitan Hotel & Spa @ New Delhi for work. My first time was a blind stay as I booked this hotel via a travel site which was offering a 5-star experience at a dirt cheap rate. I didnt know what the hotel would be but when i reached this property it was amazing! Great location at the center of New Delhi, near Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, Connaught Place and everything else I can ask for in Delhi...

The hotel has spacious rooms, great amenities and very good food. The breakfast is amazing, though had a lot of Japanese items too! While I have heard too much of the spa too, unfortunately I never found time to use it. I will for next time!

The restaurants are great, and hospitality was fantastic. Highly recommended if you have to get a 5-star experience at a good rate in New Delhi!!!!

Room Tip: Get a room on the highest floor to get a great view!

Loved the interiors, locale and the rooms. The staff is courteous and helpful. The food is average but would u care if u stayed with CP around? Great access to the mainstream city.

I will definitely recommend!

Great location; very "western" style hotel. Great breakfast buffet. Close to Connaught (although many of the tuk tuk drivers weren't familiar with the hotel or the street so make sure they know where they are going!). Spa services were nice although the spa was a bit musty. Nice pool area. We ate at the Japanese restaurant - very nice but definitely overprices; esp for India. They have a nice Craft House store for last minute souvenirs - great quality although a little overpriced.

This is an attractive hotel in central Delhi. The rooms are well appointed. However, the prices for services are quite outrageous, and 25% in taxes is added to the base price of everything. The buffet in the main restaurant is a whopping $30 ($24 + 25% taxes). One night, i just wanted light fare and so i ordered a bowl of soup and a soft drink. This came out to be $14.

Internet use is $17 per day.

One comment about the staff. They're totally mixed. Half of them are utterly stone-faced and wouldn't crack a smile under any condition. Totally cold fish. The other half were extremely friendly. I never knew what kind of person i would encounter each time i required a service. A hotel of this price point could do SO much better in training its staff to treat its customers with respect and warmth.

Room Tip: For quiet, stay on the side facing the pool.
