I, along with, 15 family members, from 2 to 78 years old, stayed for 3 nights in June 2012 at this lovely hotel. We had booked 6 rooms. Everything ticked with clock work precision from the time we stepped into the lobby. Check in was prompt & friendly. Our rooms were ready & all on the same floor. Rooms were clean and the a/cs were efficient, taking into consideration that the outside temperature was 42C ! The buffet breakfast was sumptuous & the staff attentive and polite. With 4 small children running all over the place, the staff showed utmost patience !
Well done Taj Palace ! You are maintaining the high standards of the TATA Group ! If we visit Delhi we will always stay here.

The Taj hasn't changed at all in the last 20 or so years that I've lived there, on and off.

Which can be both, a good thing and a bad thing.

Rooms are comfortable with ample space, the staff is courteous, beds are comfortable and the desk in the room really helps but the a/c is pretty erratic and temp controls don't work.

Didn't like the fact that they charged for wifi but the connection speed was pretty good.

The food, considering the hotel is in Delhi, the gastronomic capital of the country, is pretty ordinary, which is quite a disappointment.

A truely lovely city is the capital of this lovely country. Delhi is a lovely city with lots of history. Taj Palace is part of Taj group of hotels. Indeed a lovely stay. The rooms were recently redecorated, indeed very good. The breakfast was very good. Ate in one of the restaurants. Very good service, A 5 star hotel .

Hotel is now Delhi's finest after the recent massive interior makeover of the rooms. Stayed here for 2 weeks when i took up my Delhi posting in 2003. Service is still impeccable & professional although like most people of Delhi - the staff rarely smile which is completely unlike the easy going Thais.
A double bonus as His Holiness the Dalai Lama was also staying in the hotel around the same time and we received unknowingly immeasurable good blessings. Centrally located & it was a quick slingover to favourite haunts - yashwant place to get my new leather jacket, office bag & vest for less than S$200. Then to Khan Market for my Italian lunch at Amici, new books at Bahrison's (20 to 50% cheaper than Singapore) & a good 90 minutes of robust Thai body massage by real Thai ladies at Aura Thai Spa. All this was done in an afternoon before we left Delhi on SQ for Singapore. Only the best with Taj hotels.
