We loved every minute we spent here. Service was outstanding and the hotel is just beautiful. We weren't big fans of Indian food but that is just a personal taste. We can't say enough about how the service was.

Stay at Taj Palace at for the new years eve. Staff was polite and service awesome. Had new year dinner with live music at Masala Art and Breakfast at Kafe Fontana. Food was simply great. And the best past is it takes only 20 to 25min to reach the airport. Local cabs charges just over $6 to get you to the airport.

This hotel was virtually my home in Delhi. The service levels at the Club rooms are exceptional. Starting from their airport pickup in a Jag to a seamless check in and to ensuring that all is taken care for the guest's comfort is all spot on.
The rooms are well appointed - fast internet, a decent flat TV, a good audio system, comfortable bed and a really nice shower.
The pool is very well maintained - fresh and large enough for a satisfying swim.
Food is not exceptional but good.
They have a saloon, services of which I used a couple of times and it was good.

Overall, a hotel I would close my eyes and go to with a certainty that I will have a pleasant stay.

It's got all the trappings of what a luxury property normally has. And it's a fine hotel mind you - great location, one of the best bars in Delhi (Blue Bar), several good restaurants, spacious rooms - a typical Taj setup and great service. But look slightly closer, beyond the ostentatious display and you shall notice a certain amount of weariness in the building as well as the service. The overall feel was a tad disappointing as compared to some of the other Taj luxury properties. The staff did mention that the hotel (perhaps some parts) is to undergoing renovation. Not sure.

Pros -
1. The location - if you are a business traveller then its really good, not too far from the airport or proper Delhi.
2. The rooms - well maintained.
3. Blue bar - one of the chicest bars.
4. The tea lounge - serves some excellent tea.

Cons -
1. The food - not that it's bad but in a Taj hotel you expect awesome food. Breakfast although lavish was just not up to the mark. Pathetic south Indian stuff! Come on - the Taj can't go wrong here!!!
2. Service - not really consistent, slightly patchy. Especially the front desk and the restaurants.

Overall - a fine property but not amongst the best that the Taj group offers. The Taj Mahal and Taj Lands End in Mumbai are much better in terms of sheer consistency on all counts.

The Taj is hands down five star luxury with an amazing staff. Our family, including our infant daughter stayed in one of the well appointed 8th floor club rooms. The staff bent over backwards to make sure our daughter was comfortable and happy. Superb room service, butler staff, and wait staff in the Tea and Club lounges. Club rooms offer a huge relaxing soaking tub and a rainfall shower in addition to a dreamy bed and pillows.
