Everyone in our group loved this hotel. It is a historical, heritage property in an excellent location in Old Delhi. The rooms are like suites, large, elegant and comfortable The food is delicious. The reception personnel were helpful.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Our room was huge, indeed it was living room + bedroom, with bathtub and shower in the large toilet. It was immaculate clean. The hotel has the atmosphere of the old colonial times. Maybe the western-style breakfast selection is not that exciting, otherwise this conveniently located hotel (300 m away from civil lines metro station) is a great option!

We started and finished our one month backpacking trip in India at The Maidens.

Pros:
~relatively good rates given how gorgeous it is - they gave us much better than advertised rates
~Beautiful pool and lush grounds
~Gracious reception staff who didn't make us feel grubby (although we were!)
~Very comfortable beds and huge rooms (we shared one room)
~Scrumdidliumptious breakfast

Cons:
~Expensive drinks and food
~we didn't find anywhere close by to eat

Stayed: July 2014

Our home from home in Delhi. We used Maidens as our base in India and returned on three separate occasions over three weeks. The reception staff were always ready to help and dealt admirably with our changing schedule. Over the three weeks we stayed in all levels of accommodation and all were very good value for a capital city hotel. I would recommend the middle level of room which includes a separate sitting room area. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to all areas of Delhi via the Civil Lines metro station - only a short stroll from the hotel. Breakfasts were brilliant with plenty of choice at the buffet and a wide range of options cooked freshly. My favourite being the Aloo Paradtha. The only downside is that drinks, beer etc, are very expensive compared to restaurants in town. Not a deal breaker though. I would definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Room Tip: Reserve a middle range room on the second floor. These are, in my opinion, best value.

I stayed there for two nights with my parents. The room was very spacious and we each had our own bedroom area. Breakfast had a good basic selection. The front desk was bit slow on things, but the people at breakfast were nice and helpful.
Overall, it was a good experience.

Stayed just one night at this hotel after two weeks of cycling through the Himalayas. Despite arriving way before check-in the reception found a room for us very quickly. While we waited for the paperwork to be finalized we had a quick breakfast and watched the wildlife (squirrels, parrots and Kites) on the roof and around the garden. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and polite; the room was awesome, the bed comfortable and the shower - well, I had two showers just to convince myself it was real! We had a the deluxe suite which really gave us the space we needed after living in a tent for two weeks. Didn't get to use the pool but I would strongly recommend this hotel to families and couples who are prepared to pay just that little bit more to have somewhere quiet, comfortable and relaxing to retreat to after the crowds of old Delhi.

Wonderful place to enjoy old world charm from the British Era. Large rooms with comfortable furnishings. Although needs refurbishment . Possibly the only complaint was related to the air conditioning which could NOT be switched off by yourself. Else it is good value for money. The location is not what you want as a tourist. In an isolated part of the city and far from the airport as well as shopping areas.
