The good stuff first: the room is spacious, the bed comfortable, and I enjoyed a nice wide view from the divan in the window - a good touch. The staff were friendly.
The less good stuff: The staff might have been friendly, but they weren't that efficient. It took several phone calls to get more hangers for the wardrobe (when will hotels realise that you need more than three hangers for a wardrobe?); the lights in the bathroom didn't work and took a while to be fixed. And - annoyingly - the electrics came on in the middle of the night a couple of times, so I was woken up by light and the whoosh of the air con. I reported this to the staff when I left, but they didn't seem that bothered.
The food in the restaurant was OK - ish.
I was staying as a guest of a conference, and for a hotel which in part depends on conference organisers, they could do better.
It would be tempting to say, 'what do you expect from a government-owned hotel?' So I will!
