I am from Assam. This is the only place in Delhi where you will find long and most beautiful lawns both side of the road till Rashtrapati Bhawan. Very beautiful and nicely maintained area. It reminds us about our freedom fighters and soldiers. proud feeling when you see AmarJawan Jyoti. People do visit this place with friends and families. A long walk though the entire road side will give a wonderful feeling. Must visit here and enjoy a wonderful view once in your lifetime.

As beautiful as the gate itself is the entire location of it. Within sight of the South & North Block and the Parliament, India Gate is nestled in the greenest part of all of NCR Delhi. Especially in winter months and during evening hours one can easily spend an additional 1-2 hours after seeing the gate, just by strolling around within the die spread green areas. Several near by museums make this entire area an interesting one indeed.

A nice place to visit in evening time. Day time you can’t see the lighting and all. If you like to take a good pic I suggest the evening time is good.

Don’t go in summer in day time it’s too hot in Delhi. I suggest the evening time best for walk and enjoy the beauty with a cup of ice cream.

India Gate is like a Crown of Delhi-- your visit to Delhi is incomplete without seeing this personally.

Secondly, the people of Delhi came out and having their picnic at India Gate Lawns-- where you will find so many small vendors--selling their food and soft drinks in the Lawns.
Children enjoying playing around here while coming with their parents.
