“The world at your fingertips, in one large, central circle!”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Everything you could possibly ever want is on offer here in the circuit. From street sellers to boutique shops and factory outlets, Connaught place is the place to shop and sightsee in Delhi.

It's also full of people, from everywhere in the world and all walks of life.

You still get the nutty 'yoga astrologist' or vendor hassling you (when you're a non-Indian tourist) but you can fob them off as well as you would anywhere else in India.

There are some very old shop fronts, but not many are left. Most have been replaced with glass and steel, which is sad, but probably was necessary. A few institutions remain, hidden on some of the outer rings of the circuit, like Coffee Depot and the Regal Theatre.

Just go and look. It's a great place for that too.

“I found it full of hawkers and nothing special”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

Hi wasn't interested in shopping, but went for a look anyway.

It has shops, but a shopping centre wold be much easier to look around.

The underground market was poor, I was constantly harassed into looking at things and at one point felt unsafe, and left.

Found every street corner I was harassed by someone who just wanted to be my friend and had nothing to sell, yeah right!

got scammed into going to a shopping centre that was actually a rug shop, awesome!

Unfortunately you cannot trust ANYONE who approaches you on the street, and if you need information, go into a shop and ask, its sad, but true.

“heart of Delhi”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

A well layer out shopping centre right in the heart of Delhi. There are a number of blocks, probably 15. Each block has different type of eateries, branded and unbranded products stores, ATMs, bank branches and ample car parking area. Some restaurants have bar licence. The metro station Rajiv Chowk is right there, underground. For shopping and dinning out this is the ideal place to go.

“Hassled”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

Even before we go to Connaught Place everyone wanted to tell us where to go and where not to go, it was all very confusing .Random people hassling us all the time made it rather unpleasant. This was my least least favorite place in the whole of India.Glad we went but once was enough.
