We waked from our hotel to Lodhi Gardens which were so peaceful and tranquil. We wandered along the paths looking at 15th century Mughal monuments. We did not have a guide but read the very extensive information which is available at each site. We spent 1-2 hours there mixing with locals who were sitting on the grass watching their children play. It was a lovely introduction to India and their way of life. The vibrant colours of the saris with the very green lush gardens made a memorable afternoon.
