“Simply the best South Indian food in Delhi”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014 via mobile

The Dosas are even better than what you get in Bangalore. And that's saying a lot for a place in Delhi where South Indian food is particularly poor in most places. Despite it's poor location in a terrible , dirty market- this is a must go place.

“Food with love!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 May 2014

Carnatic Café is a place, which can truly define how childhood flavors can beat any fancy meal served to you. I say this because when I asked the owner that how did you come up with the menu he said: he chose those dishes, which he ate at his home since he was a kid.

Must haves: Malleshwaram 18th cross, Mysore Masala dosa, Bisi-bele bath, Rava idly, Paddu and Butter milk/filter coffee. A very special mention to their chutneys, you can’t have enough of them. In case you want to try a lot of things in the menu order their mini meal it has good variety of dishes.

The staff is nice and friendly and because earlier I would frequently visit they would know my order. The décor is simple and it speaks about South India in every which way. To give a complete experience they play Carnatic music also.

Carnatic Café is a vegetarians heaven and a Non-vegetarian’s new found love!

The cost of a meal for two people is Rs 400-500 approximately (inclusive of taxes)

The place re-defines: Simplicity at its best.
Possibly the best place to have South Indian Finger licking food.

“The best Karnataka food in delhi”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 May 2014 via mobile

Everyone in delhi who loves katakana or South Indian food must visit. Not only the food is the best you will get but the value for money will surprise you further. Go for the mini meal to satisfy your hunger. Your taste buds will want more but your stomach might say no. Will be back soon here

“Awesome South Indian Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2014

Located in the New friends Colony, this is one of the best places in Delhi to have South Indian Food. The cafe is a small one with simple seating but the owners have tried to make it quirky by having some nice decor put in.

The staff is courteous, polite and friendly. Their service quality is very good.

The menu is good. Whatever preparation they do seems to be in authentic Karnataka style. We went in a group and ordered lot of things and everyone tried every time. I like there Vadas and Malleshwaram 18 dosa. Malleshwaram 18 dosa is thick but crunchy. The butter rava dosa is also awesome it seems as if it melts in ur mouth. The vadas are also too good, crunchy outside soft inside.

Leaving restaurant was feeling like leaving on a high note with a promise to return for they have made me.addicted to it.

“Fusion South Indian Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

South Indian Food with a difference. In case you are fed up with the same south indian menu and presentation everywhere, then this is nice place to have a change. Though with the crowd they get it is expected from them to manage seating space more properly, and must have table reservation policy which they don't have currently. Still a nice place with quality food..
