Hey y'all, I never leave reviews but I felt obligated to do so with this place.

My friends and I stayed here for about 3 days and nights, here are the highlights:

- staff was extremely friendly, genuinely concerned about our well-being (doormen would help us get rickshaws, ensure we weren't gouged on rickshaw prices, and even took down the id number of rickshaws to ensure safety and security)
- roof top restaurant - very good quality food for dinner, free continental breakfast was good
- good, modern looking, clean rooms
- several English movie channels
- even the owner of the hotel went above and beyond to ensure our India experience was great
- Location very good - only 15-20 mins walk of 5 min rickshaw ride to Connaught Place. Area is a little sketchy but still not bad

Only one lowlight:
- internet signal was a little weak in certain parts of the hotel

Suffice it to say, this place earned its excellent rating from me. For the price, this place was excellent

This hotel was very good for when we arrived in Delhi and India for the first time. Very clean and very helpful staff. They are situated in the popular Paharganj area, which may be a bit run-down at some spots, but this hotel is clean and modern. All ammenities were working and they have bottled water waiting for you in the room.
The only negative thing I would state is that they never replied to our airport-pickup request which meant we had to hassle with the taxi driver from the prepaid taxi booth at the airport early in the morning and after a long flight... not such a pleasant beginning.

The Hotel City Star was the first hotel where we stayed in India and it was a great start to the holiday.
The hotel itself is very clean, fresh and modern. It's not on the smartest street in New Delhi but as we were getting cars and tuk tuks everywhere, as a lot of tourists do, it didn't really bother us. Our room was a decent size, modern, clean and we were very happy with it.
The food at the rooftop restaurant was delicious and we were there for Divali so watched fireworks from the restaurant which was a great experience.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which was much appreciated considering we had just arrived in India. They organised all of our transport, which was very reasonably priced.
I should mention that we had arranged a pickup from the airport for our arrival but our pickup did not show up. We called the hotel and they advised us to catch a taxi and offered to reimburse the money or provide a complimentary drop off.
The hotel was very good value for money and I would recommend it to anyone staying in New Delhi.

Located near the New Delhi railway station, the location is great although the area itself is not that nice. You are close to the major sights and Connaught Place is only 10mins away.

The staff are brilliant, very helpful and friendly and always willing to assist. They were not pushy and didn't try to sell us any tours we didn't want!

The room was a very good size and was very clean. There was often no hot water during the day but it was always available in the mornings and evenings so this was not a problem.

Definitely value for money and would recommend!

We were a party of 4. Stayed at City Star for 4 nights 24th Oct to 28th. Arrived at 4am having been picked up at airport by complimentary taxi. Reception was friendly, helpful and efficient. Rooms spacious, clean with comfy beds and great shower. Food at rooftop restaurant was very good and well priced and was great at end of sightseeing days to wind down with a few beers, but shame that spirits are not available. Special thank you to Imtiaz for looking after us. Booked 3 days of trips from hotel travel desk including day trip to Agra for a great price, well recommended. Thanks to all management and staff for a great stay. Delhi surpassed our expectation.

Hotel and staff were great. Rooms were really lovely. Location was in the middle of Delhi so getting about was easy. The open air rooftop restaurant was superb and being able to watch the world go by below was amazing. The hotel was only six floors so the restaurant was not that high up which was fab to view down below. We hired a driver from the hotel for two days to take us to Agra and all around Delhi. It cost £90 but was worth it as we got to see so much in a short space of time. Drivers name was Mr Singh and he was very friendly and knowledge. Ask for him if you can.
