Bang opposite Metro pillar no. 167, just 5 minutes leisurely walk to Patel nagar Metro station on the main road, locationally excellent. rooms are clean and contemporary but spacious. Staffs are helpful but as per hospitality standard line staffs are not upto the mark. Less variant breakfast. Food and beverages in the hotel is extremely costly. however quality and taste of Mughlai food is good. others are not upto the mark.. building architecture is not appealing. ambience in restaurant is just upto the mark. Lobby's show has gone down with the open portion by the side of it. Room and bathroom amenities are OK. Room service is upto the mark.

I booked the room based on some of the reviews that were on TripAdvisor, but gladly they weren't wrong. This is an good little hotel which has an pretty unassuming exterior. It is well maintained with quite an bit of effort spent on cleanliness aspect. We stayed here for three days and I must say that there's little to complaint. Felt that the food was a bit over priced though and you had to call the front desk each day for wifi credentials which works on just one device for 24hrs.

Other than these we had an pleasant stay and my daughter loved the metro view from the room. Would definitely recommend this hotel for someone looking for an good hotel near central Delhi.

After checking out of an unsuitable hotel after arriving in Delhi we found this gem online and decided to visit and view a room before checking in.

The hotel is situated on the metro line between the Rajendra Place and Patel Nagar stops on the blue line. Each pillar holding up the elevated metro line is numbered and the hotel is opposite pillar number 167.

We arrived to find that the hotel had only double rooms available, which were unsuitable for us, but after providing us with a complimentary drink the manager informed us that if we could 'make do' with a double room (the old pillows down the middle trick) then we could be moved to a twin room for the remaining six nights of our trip.

The hotel is around a year old and the staff are professional and friendly. Most speak some English while a few are fluent. After agreeing a rate, the hotel arranged a taxi for us, to collect our and return our luggage from our previous hotel. They even sent one of the bellboys along with us - although this was more likely to ensure we returned. Still, a nice touch.

Because we hadn't booked in advance we actually had to change rooms twice but this was no problem for us. We were just grateful to be accommodated. All we had to do was leave our suitcases in our room and the staff moved them, during the day, to our new rooms.

The rooms themselves are fantastic. The TV has premium sports and movie channels in English (including plenty of English football.) There is a reasonably priced minibar which was restocked every day in addition to freebies, also restocked each morning, such as bottled water, tea, coffee and an assortment of snacks. These were replenished every day even when we hadn't used them - so come of the end of our trip we had around eight bags of crisps and four packets of biscuits which we gave to local street kids.

The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable, each with air conditioning, safe, hair-dryer and all kinds of lotions and potions in the bathroom. It has everything you'd expect and want from a much more expensive, perhaps westernised, hotel.

The reception has a travel desk who arranged, at our request, a private hire car to the Indian Grand Prix for each of three days. Prices were okay although you could probably do it cheaper. We were paying a little bit extra for the convenience and reliability of using the hotel's service. The cars were new Suzukis with seatbelts and air conditioning. We also used the hotel's travel service for our Taj Mahal trip at a cost of 5500 rupees (around £55.) Not bad considering the distance but, again, it can be done much more cheaply if you can put up with the Indian Rail system and its unreliable booking service.

The price of the room included breakfast, which was a self-service affair with a different selection of mainly Indian food each morning. A few extra items were available to order, such as omelettes. The restaurant is on the first floor and is clean and air-conditioned. The menu is, perhaps, a little lacking in choice but does include both Indian and Chinese food at reasonable prices. A main course with drink costs around 500 rupees per person.

All-in-all, this is a great hotel. We couldn't have asked for more. If we were to visit Delhi again we wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else.

We had a 8 night stay at Hotel Regent Grand in October . Our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. Our Room, Metro Facing one on the front side, was large, well appointed, neat, clean and functional with wooden flooring. The complimentary buffet spread was very good though it tended to get repetitive (perhaps because of our rather long stay). North Indian & Continental preparations on the Breakfast Buffet as well as the A La Carte selections from the Menu were exceptionally good with a scope for improvement in the South Indian fare. Room Service, House Keeping, Restaurant & Front Office staff were all generally very responsive, smiling & efficient.
Though we were alerted to expect some noise from the busy main road in front while choosing the Room at the time of Check-in, I must compliment them for making the room totally noise-free with excellent sound proofing. Have rarely experienced such Quality of Sleep in a Hotel any where. A special word for the energetic and very amiable Sales Manager Mr Anshu Bhatia who went out of his way to help & make our stay a pleasant one. Would surely like to patronise this property on our future visits to Delhi & recommend this to Travellers.

We stayed for 3 (separate) nights last week (11, 13 and 16th Oct) at Hotel Regent Grand and we found it to be excellent. The rooms were all clean and neat with a fully stocked coffee/tea tray, two complimentary 2 litre bottles of mineral water. The Metro facing rooms are at the front of the hotel with slightly better view whilst the rooms opposite have a view of the building next door which was in poor state externally.
On arrival, we were greeted by the doorman and the front desk staff were polite and efficient. The formalities were dealt with quickly. A cold welcome drink was also offered - a good sign of good service. The bags were offloaded from the taxi and followed us to our rooms in no time.

There is complimentary breakfast served at the restaurant on 1st floor form 7AM and offers good choice of Indian as well as continental breakfast. The were staff also willing to cook off menu items.Lunch and dinner are served at the same restaurant. Although the menu has varied items, it is the same menu every day and the same menu for in-room service. Those staying for a week or longer and wanting to eat in could get bored.
We were on a pilgrimage trip and did not want to travel with all our luggage.and the hotel provided a secure storage facility which was very useful.
Finally, the hotel is walking distance from Delhi Metro service which gives access to easy travelling within the city.
Overall, we had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend this hotel highly.

Room Tip: Rooms on the Metro side offer slightly better view
