“Day trip - Delhi to Taj Mahal”
Reviewed 15 November 2013

OK, so our trip was planned around a visit to the Taj and we weren't disappointed either by the Taj itself or the organisation of Duni and our guide. Pick up from the hotel and the drive to Delhi station was on time, detailed and relevant information provided on the day on how to navigate Delhi station was welcome and helpful.

Train journey was fine, we upgraded to first class and would recommend doing so for the leg space and comfort, if you're a UK visitor don't try and compare it to UK first class, it isn't but it is comfortable and the ride is interesting.

We were met at the station and driven to meet the guide and then onto the Taj. Guide was very knowledgeable happy to impart knowledge and answer any question and had a passion for the Taj; I cannot recommend a visit to this place highly enough; seeing it on the television or in a book doesn't do it justice and with the explanations of the guide, you will understand more about the Taj which will all make sense.

The rest of the day, the visit to Agra fort was interesting and buffet lunch at the hotel good. For us, the tour could have ended there because we had seen what we really wanted to see; however I think the reason we carried on with a full day tour was because of the return train times not being great when traveling back to Delhi. The afternoon was interesting to a degree but not as much to us as visiting the Taj.

One word of caution and this appears to be a theme across all organised tours, whether it's completed at guide level or at organizational level, and we completed three tours this time, the guides insist on driving you to Emporiums to see local local crafts being practiced and shops heavily laden with Pashminas, marble plates, stone/wooden elephants, jewelry etc and if that is what you want then fill your boots, but be aware, once you have witnessed the crafts being made, which is interesting, it is a hard sell, you are expected to purchase, despite what the guide says.

To get around this, assuming that you don't want to purchase, tell the guide that you don't want to visit these places at the start of the tour or be very firm at the shops that you don't want to go inside. We found it very difficult to start with not to visit these places because the guide drove you there under the auspices of seeing local crafts in practice, which you did see, but you still had to spend the rest of the day with the guide and on this trip, there were two such places.

But don't let it spoil a fantastic trip which was the Taj, you have to see it with your own eyes to appreciate its beauty and what it stands for in history. Go early in the morning to avoid the crowds, but you won't be disappointed that you did and Duni's organizational skills were first rate.

“Taj Mahal day tour through http://www.indiatajmahaltour.com”
Reviewed 15 August 2013

Chose to go on a day tour through www.indiatajmahaltour.com. They picked us up from our hotel in Delhi and dropped us to the train station, picked us up in Agra and took us to the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, an amazing lunch at a 5-star hotel, then took us to an old fort/mosque in Rajisthan. We were dropped back at the train station and then picked up in Delhi and brought back to our hotel. THis was all for $70. It was well worth the price and I'd definitely do it again.

“Touring with indiatajmahaltour.com to Agra”
Reviewed 10 August 2013

It was one of the magnificent visit to Taj Mahal the foremost extragavent architectural wonder and the most visited tourist destination of the world. It was kind of exotic experience that I had in the recent past. This architectural wonder is the must to visit if you are in India. A must because of its mesmerising huge white marble wonder it seems to be coming out of the dreams of heart. The poetic structure and the most important love symbol of all times. Why I am appreciating so much about it because the flawless guide explaining each and every thing of this wonderful structure. No hassles and no delays in the services of the travel tour guide made me to appreciate the architectural wonder so much. Indeed I will return again as they say come again. May be with my friends who read my preview about the site and the tour guide. Thank you for this wonderful experience indiatajmahaltour... Chao!
