This hotel is good. The service, food is also good. Got a good deal but the luxury tax in Delhi is charged according to the rack rate and not the discounted rate and hence the tax slab is high in this and all hotels and is not justified. Nearby there are not good restaurants if you wish to eat out.

Dear Guest

Thank you for sharing your feedback!!

We are glad that you had a comfortable stay with us. Hotel has three food outlets namely Va Bene- Multicuisine restaurant, Zerzura- a Mid-eastern Moroccan cuisine and The Hiatus- a world cuisine restaurant. There are quite a good number of restaurants located nearby like Olive bar and kitchen, Shroom, Cherie one Qutab, etc.

Looking forward to welcome you again

I am associated with this hotel for a very long time. Earlier my office was there in one of the apartments they have later I started putting my office staff into this hotel when they visited India and I too stayed several times here. This hotel is in quite place in Qutab Insitutional area very close to the famous monument Qutab Minar. The rooms are clean, big and decently done. There is not much around to see except Qutab Minar and there is nothing at walking distance. However the food here is awesome just out of world. Every time you have it and you love it. I would recommend expats to stay in this hotel.

Room Tip: The Spa here is must try. Do not miss the food here.

Dear Guest

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us!

We are glad to know that you always enjoy staying with us. Yes you are right that the rooms are overlooking the Qutab Minar and greenry around. The hotel is spread over an area of 4 acres of land with ample parking space, three food outlets, swimming pool, health club, conference and meeting space, etc

Looking forward to be of your service again

Warm Regards

Clarion Collection, erstwhile Qutub Hotel has some big advantages. Great location for business. The infrastructure is vaguely new and at the same time old. Bathrooms and some parts of the infrastructure makes you think this is about 2 decades old. TVs, beds and other fittings do make it look new. Overall a average to good business hotel with one swaying between the two and resting on the former. The hotel now has two restaurants - one of which is excellent - Zenzura (see my review on this). The rooms are big and comfortable. So are the beds and TV options. The breakfast is quite ok, served strangely in the Zenzura restaurant, which is ok for an evening but not a breakfast. The lifts are old and creaky. The corridors are stuffy and non-air conditioned. The corridor carpets need a change or serious cleansing. While staying there I got a strong smell of pesticide, which the hotel could not solve (although they offered me a different room). Given that am a mild asthmatic, found it difficult to sleep the whole night.

While checking out, I got charged twice on credit card ! Luckily, they spotted it and reversed the entry and sent an apology letter.

In case you are doing a conference or meeting, watch out. The rooms next doors and outside lawn (which is very beautiful) can be used for noisy parties or functions; disrupting you sometimes.

The hotel will give you a wifi password; what they will not tell you is that the WIFI is chargeable and expensive.

Overall, an average experience. This can easily be a good hotel.

The hotel is pleasant as you arrive, not too big, with greenery around, with a homely feel. It is when you get to the room that the feeling changes. Room was ultra large, too large for what it was fitted inside, and old. In such a big room there is not bath in the bathroom, just shower. For such a room the TV set is miles away from your bed.
The wireless Internet worked well, however it lost the signal at times.
The air conditioning was very effective, however could not be set to a desired temperature.
I was lucky with my room, facing the opposite side to the hotels disco,... My colleagues got rooms at the "wrong" side and suffered greatly from heavy noise and vibration, having rooms at the hotels first floor.
Breakfast is good, abundant buffet, with a mix of western and Indian food. Cooked breakfast service is also good and varied. If you are not local and want to try a local cooked breakfast you'd better ask the waiter as otherwise you may not know what it is available.
There is a nice 20 meter length outdoor pool, good enough for swimmers.
The hotel, disco bar is very nice, different, with good atmosphere.

Room Tip: A room at the first floor facing the disco side of the hotel would be a disaster choice. I would avoid any room at any floor facing the disco side, as it seems there is load music played every night.

Dear Guest

Thank you for taking time to share your valuable feedback with us!

We have noted the areas of concern and would certainly improve upon the same. I would also like to share that we have different room types in the hotel and the room type(Club Room) you stayed in has only shower cubicles. Club Rooms are relatively large in size and has a balcony attached to it.

Looking forward to be of your service again.

Clarion Collection, earlier Qutab Hotel, is a hotel with a difference. The first thing that strikes you when enter through the main gate, is that you seem to be entering a housing colony and not a hotel. There are walk-ways, a lawn, garden and even service appartments within the complex.

The hotel itself, starting with the lobby, has a spartan and an efficent look about it. I stay in this hotel regularly during my business trips as it is conveniently located and gives good value for money on the lodging part.

Plus points:
1. Good location
2. Excellent value for money
3. Clean, well maintained rooms with efficient and friendly service
4. Never crowded, with lots of physical space
5. Overall ambience, both in the hotel and the surrounding propery, is homely (remember the housing colony part?) and is very different from a typical hotel, particularly inside a metro city.

Negatives:
1. For a four star hotel the the choices for eating is severly limited and pricey with only one restaurant, that has completely changed its theme from the time I have been staying here. One restaurant that served pan asian food has been shut down. Outside the hotel, there are no suitable restaurants.
2. There is no airconditioning for a part of the lobby from the elevator to the rooms. I do not know if this is a part of cost control, but this area is distinctly uncomfortable during hot summer seasons when the temperature can go upto 48 degrees.
3. The hotel does not have any loyalty programme that would let you acumulate reward points. This is expected in any 4/ 5 star hotel.

Having said all this, I have been a regular visitor to this hotel and have returned satlsfied each time. If you want a 4 star hotel with a difference and a good value for money, look no further.

Room Tip: Ask for higher floors with a view of the Qutub Minar.

Dear Guest

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us!

We appreciate the time you took in highlighting the positives in the hotel and its offerings. we have also noted the negatives highlighted by you and would like to inform you, that currently hotel has two outlets - Zerzura which serves Mid-eastern, Moroccan, Lebanese food and Le Bar which serves Indian food along with international dishes. Very shortly we are opening up a new restaurant which will serve World cuisine.

Looking forward to your regular stay at Clarion Collection Qutab New Delhi
