Lived in India I booked this hotel in Delhi for the first night in India when arriving with my husband for his first trip to India. The room was dirty and small and the service was slow. The food was barely average, the service was slow and well the dining area was far from attractive overall, I expected more in that price. I think it is very unlikely I would stay at this hotel again. Location was the only attractivenss of the hotel

We were very surprised knowing this hotel was located in the centre of the city as surroundings do not look like a centre at all. The hotel is old, smells like petrol burning (to protect from mosquitoes, maybe). The restaurant is overpriced with incredibly slow service, it always took us at least 3 hours to get, finish and pay the meal. Becareful of bottles of water that they provide as some were reused and refilled with tap water though they charged 3 times more expensive for a bottle of water. The taxi service was good though, just need to stick with your plan and be firm about it as taxi drivers will try to get you to their "contracted" shops.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a tour recently with 4 others. At the outset i have to say ..i am easily pleased, good pool, small rooms, fair food, pricing not transparent does not really bother me..it is India after all, a very inexpensive place to holiday..upon checking in our passports were photocopied and returned to us.After this they were put into the safe and locked away for our return home..As the fridge was broken, the AC sounded like a double decker bus, and a wee man kept calling all day every day to check on us i requested an upgrade..no bother , got it immediately. When i wen to take our luggage up i opened the safe and one of the passports was missing, yes nightmare on Elm street began. These were the same passports photocopied a day previous. I went to the manager and infomed him of this .I requested that the safe be tested and the camera be reviewed as we were only out of the room for an hour. The Hotel denied all responsibility and refused to call the Police as " it would look bad to other guests"At this stage major panic set in.The hotel refused to help me in any way and took no responsibility for the theft as it " Would look bad to other guests".The tour company helped us and after 3 days we got a travel document.I am very reluctant to write a negative review at any time as i feel many travellers are very hard on services and hotels .There was a lot of kindness showen to me in this hotel but no responsibility was taken by the management at ALL, they deserted us in totality and refused to help in any way, they should be ASHAMED of themselves. I am contacting the travel company on Monday to advise them of this,,avoid this place there is a scam going on ...i regret to say this but its the truth....... avoid.I

Room Tip: Please avoid this place at all costs

The biggest advantage of the hotel is it's location . right beside the Shivaji Stadium at the heart of the Connaught Place. One can approach all the brand stores and other important addresses on foot. The rooms are quite small though clean with all sorts of amenities available. However, due to its size one always experiences a crumpled feeling.
The big con is the price. I stayed with corporate booking and even then the tariff charged was extravagant to say the least, especially when one compares with the hotels with similar amenities. Breakfast is good and sumptuous. Room service is courteous but a little lethargic. In all, not a very good value for money

Pros-excellent location, right-sized rooms, courteous staff, good breakfast spread, good amenities, good wi-fi connectivity, neat washroom, adequate toiletries.
Cons- Over-priced food disproportionate to quality, response time to requests irritating, approach road to the hotel is deserted.
Needed- Multiple plug points to charge multiple gadgets. Avoid having the guest to "ask" for wifi password, and "informing the desk" before availing free laundry.

Very Good location. A good stay. Staffs were very helpful. Free cookies and fruits provided on daily basis. However room service is very slow. They also charge more. For example, I ordered milk for my baby and the charged Rs 230 for less than a liter! Food was also not great. We ordered Indian vegetable dish which was half cooked and we had to pay for that. However as there are lots of good restaurants nearby and those restaurants also deliver at hotel, you can anytime order for food from outside. Overall a good stay and worth for money.

Room Tip: Don't choose top floor rooms as construction going on. And do not ask for a 'sea-facing room...
