“"was unexpectedly good"”
Reviewed 28 January 2014

I had read the reviews and decided to go for a party. Dazzling atmosphere - for the ambience and style I'd say it’s reasonably priced. Service was fast and friendly but most importantly the food was delicious. Live music was an added attraction. Singer, Arjun was good and so was The Piano man. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening with my friends and would definitely love to visit again.

“Hidden gem - much more than a cafe”
Reviewed 22 November 2013 via mobile

This cute little cafe/bistro has an unassuming look, but is obviously run with great care by the owner, jazz-lover and piano man himself. We discovered a small sophisticated gourmet fusion menu compiled with great creativity that made for an aha taste experience.

For character, good coffee, great tasting original food, passionate owner who cares about his music and his food, this place is a hidden gem in Delhi.

“Lovely cafe”
Reviewed 19 November 2013

This is such a pleasant sprucing up of the earlier Passion Tea. The place looks great, and with the half-drawn blinds at dusk you could be half-convinced that you're sitting in the midst of some lovely European Plaza instead of unkempt Basant Lok. The music is wonderful; the menu comprises some very interesting choices, and the few things I've tried have been good not only by Delhi's terrible Café food standards, but by broader restaurant standards. The service is prompt and polite, and the pricing excellent. Overall, a super choice for a quiet pit stop by oneself, or to meet up with somebody, in the VV area.

“A spirited café built upon the theme of jazz music”
Reviewed 14 November 2013

The first thing you notice as you enter is the abstractedly extracted motif the interiors are designed under: tiffany lamp shades, abstract and colourful artwork done on the walls, tables and chairs nicely aligned according to the shape of the café and a picture of Fats Waller – the great and legendary jazz pianist hanging just above the piano wall. And yes, this place actually has a functional piano installed! Though, no one was playing it at the time, but on enquiring they did inform us that they host various events such as open mic, stand-up nights, jazz nights and poetry slam nights quite regularly.

Once you are seated, it is quite refreshing to notice that the staff actually gives you space to blend in to the ambiance and do not pester you to order. The servers are swift and always keep a smile on their faces. And as you wait for the order to be served, you can simply sit back and enjoy the 240 degree panoramic view of the Basant Lok market through the glass walls and the strategic location of the café.

As the place seemed to be so promising, we decided to order something unique and special. So, we ordered a goat’s cheese pizza and a mac ‘n’ cheese. The pizza was well dressed and the cheese on it was extremely authentic. On the other hand, the first thing we noticed about mac ‘n’ cheese was the portion size - it was more than enough for a single person. The cheese was generously used and again, the quality was extremely super!

Though, after the main course we were completely stuffed, but looking at the luscious bakery we hardly could resist from ordering a banoffee pie and a blueberry cheese cake. And I must say - the bakery section was even better! Just as described on the menu that these are not meant for the calorie conscious, they were sweet, yet very delightful. The sweet corner prices seemed to be a little steep at first, but once you’ve had them, you don’t regret a thing.

For two people, we ended paying just over Rs. 1,100 – which was quite satisfying given the ambiance and the location of the café. And not to mention the free Wi-Fi they offered! We are definitely making another visit to one of their upcoming events!
