“Nice clean and well located”
Reviewed 18 December 2013

I chose this hotel is very well located. Did not want to waste time traveling because traffic can be pretty chaotic. The rooms are nicely done and service is of acceptable levels. Staying in heart of city makes it slightly noisy. Recommend to people who need a place to spend the night.

I, with my family stayed at La Sagrita on the 30th of November for one night and the experience was very good. The reason i chose La Sagrita was because it was near India Gate and was just a 20 minute drive to Akshardham Temple.

The location of the hotel is very good. The rooms are very clean and the ambience good. Mr Hemant Ahuja the owner not just runs the hotel but is very passionate about his business. He does take personal care of the guests and is an excellent person. The room was very spacious and newly done up. The food at the hotel is good and healthy. The front office staff John, Kumar and others are very helpful and take care of the guests well. In fact I got some tips from Mr Hemant on the local shopping too. In short I felt the stay very homely and would recommend it for a homely family stay at a reasonable price in Delhi.

Room Tip: The rooms are good but not necessarily totally sound proof (of other noisy guests coming in the nigh...

The staff was very helpful and courteous, I arrived and booked at the last minute but they managed to find me a good room. Additionally, the hotel is very well located, at a tuk tuk distance from many monuments. It is also totally new and rooms are nice.

Pros
- Modern fittings
- Good location (not too difficult for taxi to find) - and located to many sites
- Big bed nice sheets
- Good room service food (a tad bit pricey)

Cons
- Noise still an issue as other people said. I was in Room 102 but found that the walls are not very soundproof. Was not an issue for me due to the fact that I was completely exhausted when I arrived.

Room Tip: Avoid 102 and 301

Spent 3 nights here and I was more than a little disappointed after some good reviews before I booked.

Pro's
- Well located for a Delhi trip
- The owner is a nice guy and is very helpful
- Modern fit out (where complete)
- Food is good
- Rooms are adequate

Cons
- Front desk staff have no idea on customer service
- Hallways are noisy and echo

Would not return.

Well, I book this hotel because of the great reviews, I must say I was disappointed. ok the hotel is located in a nice and quiet area, the staff is very courteous and helpful and the room are modern and well decorated... but if you are to stay is that hotel, avoid the room 301 and maybe the room beside it as the water heating system is above and it makes a terrible noise constantly, night and day. It was definitely not an oasis for me!
I also found the breakfast very poor, not a big variety. The food is good though.

La Sagrita is a great choice for those concerned about reducing their carbon footprint. The hotel is on a human scale - rooms comfortably large, spotless, and elegant but not grandiose even in the public spaces. I walked to the India gate, and felt secure strolling on my own, even at night. Just around the corner is tasty inexpensive vegetarian food. The owner made me feel like an old friend, not a new guest. Breakfast is extensive with many choices and served in a room filled with light due to the translucent ceiling. The recent renovation speaks of concern for the comfort of guests as the highest goal. This hotel even beats out my favorite upscale and more expensive hotel for creating a feeling of being at home while away from home. Every city should have a replica of this boutique hotel. Bravo!
