cool place, my room had a private bathroom and bed, I went to dinner at the city which is very close to the hotel, good service and clean, good communication, and is priced cheaply lying all I want, I'm happy with the stay, this hotel will surely often fell into , a good place for a day trip.

My sister and I want to thank you for the great stay at your hotel!! The staff was really friendly and helpful and looked out of us in the big city of craziness (which we loved)! The street we were on was a real taste of the city! The rooms were clean, comfortable and the hotel was close to the metro which is easy to take anywhere in the city. We really felt like home at this place! A big Dhan' yavada to Mr. Roman, Govind, Vinod, Kishan, Pratal, Nawal,Raj and Manoj !!

I had stayed with my family at your hotel in March, 2013. I should say it was an excellent place at very moderate rate. My comparison would be with the hotel we stayed in Agra, where we paid the same amount but the services and the room itself wasn't that great. Your rooms were clean and tidy and the room boys needed to be heartily congratulated. I could see your men overwork, but they didn't express the normal frustration due to the same, which we would find in any service sector. I could not comment on the other services like TV or wifi as we did not use any of them. I should definitely mention the roof-top restaurant, we had real fun there. The accessibility to the local railway station is one added advantage. Overall we would prefer to stay there when ever we come back to Delhi and will recommend it to anybody who would have similar priorities.

great location ..just on the main road..in paharganj..though in paharganj..but the main rd is just nxt to it so its accessible by a car too..hotel is truly a star property ..have maintained standard in all respects...value for money...located in hustle bustle of paharganj,.everything available right below the hotel...service is gr8..however asking the guests to pay in advance can be done away with..though located in busy place , but maintanied their standard.hotel staff like Mr Raman and manoj were noteworthy..

Room Tip: rooms are slightly smaller ..Ask for the rooms with balcony..

First of all i would like to say that paharganj is full of hotels of all kind but this hotel is good at par with price it charges.whenever I am at delhi for any purpose i stay here.Room is fully decorated with good look and at the same time staffs are fully co-operative.Room is equipped with almost all needed facilities.Good morning packet is available in bathroom and two way pipeline water is also available.Water they supply for drinking is RO filtered or mineral water as you demand.Attendants are fully trained from guest point of view.Bedsheet and mattress is also of goood quality. In addendum its location is also good so at last i would say that its simply best hotel .

I've been staying at Lal's Haveli since October 2012 whilst carrying out research for my PhD in Delhi. I have fairly extensive experience of staying at budget hotels in India and Lal's Haveli is by far the best one I have stayed at and at a very reasonable price for the capital city. The room and bathroom are cleaned every day if you leave your key with the front desk when you leave. The staff are very courteous, friendly and attentive and the hotel manager Mr. Raman is also extremely helpful and always smiling which really makes a difference. The roof top restaurant and room service offers well-priced meals (veg and non-veg) and the service is very quick.

Lal's Haveli is also very well located, with both New Delhi railway station and Ramakrishna Ashram Metro Station within walking distance. Rickshaws are easily available from the main road (Deshbandhu Gupta Road). The area also has handy amenities on your doorstep. Reliance Fresh grocery store is just around the corner; there are several banks on the main road and an ATM opposite the hotel. The Darbar restaurant opposite provides excellent veg meals and is very sanitary.

All in all a very reliable budget hotel by Indian standards. I am returning to Delhi in October 2013 to do more research and will definitely stay here again.

Our room looked nice when we first entered but a closer inspection showed the sheets were dingy, the once-white towels were gray and the floor was sloped! The service was also quite spotty. There was a door hanger to request room service and we used it twice but received no service. This despite the fact that there always seemed to be 10 extra employees standing around with presumably nothing to do. The poor service didn't stop one employee from flat out asking for a tip, though!

The breakfast and dinner served were good but each order took about 45 minutes to fill.

I would not recommend staying in this neighborhood at all -- especially if you're new to India. It's extremely dirty, noisy (horns blaring at all hours) and overwhelming. There was a construction project going on next door and welding sparks flew at us, nearly burning us. Aside from a sweet shop, there doesn't seem to be any restaurants in the vicinity. We ended up eating at the Night Market.
