“Good location”

This hotel is well located for walking to many restaurants and shops and the park. It is definitely not one of the five star resorts. the staff are friendly, professional and helpful. The breakfast offers great variety.

This is a bargain hotel, considering it is so conveniently located right in the heart of the city, with great shopping and restaurants at the doorstep.

Rooms are small - some miniscule with hardly room for the luggage, but the beds are comfortable and bathrooms are nice, with a good shower. There is a kettle for tea and they will bring fresh milk from the restaurant.

I booked 2 deluxe rooms for our family group of 5, emailing ahead to request well located rooms. When we arrived, we had been allocated rooms not near each other, and one of the rooms was right next to the noisy reception and waiting area for the restaurant - clearly the worst room in the hotel. When I objected, the receptionist said there were no more rooms... but with a bit more pressure, he showed us a much better room right next door to my other 3 children. I do not know what went on there - the squeaky wheel gets the oil unfortunately. That was very odd and annoying. But that was the only minor annoyance at this terrific hotel.

The front of house staff are all great friendly and helpful fellows - and went the extra mile every time, helping us to find obscure shops ( if you want to know where to buy a doctor's white coat or an ophthalmoscope in Delhi, just ask Dimple at the desk because he's done all the research for me).

The restaurant Zaffran is popular with locals and it is hard to get a table past 8.30pm if you haven't booked. But it is worth the wait. Great food. Hotel guests eat breakfast here too and there is a reasonable selection, but quality not as good as dinner. We did enjoy the mango lassi though.

When we went to Varanasi we left our big suitcases here in their locked room which was very convenient.

We stayed at three different hotels in Delhi (see other reviews), all good, but I think this is the best of the three all things considered.

Room Tip: Request to be away from the reception corridor as too noisy. All the rooms have the problem that you...

I travelled with my family during December 2013. This hotel is very nice with gr8 hospitality & very attentive staff. Location is fantastic for Metro connectivity. Complementary B/fast was delicious. Zaffran restaurant food also is a perfect north Indian treat

Location is right on Connaught Place, so it's very central. The entrance is hard to find and upstairs, so you don't walk into the hotel lobby right away, and the elevator is tight.

Friendly staff and the restaurant (Zaffran) has food to die for - their breakfast, which is included in the tariff, is buffet format & very good (south & north Indian food), and the dinner we ate on one of the two nights we were here, was out of this world. Remember to reserve a spot, it gets busy. WE hadn't, on a Friday night, but the manager went out of his way to accommodate us, very nice.

The other night we ate at Haldirams, (recommended by Delhi friends of ours) and that was a big mistake (can't really compare the two, but still. One can get good food at down market restaurants and their food was poor quality).

Rooms small but comfortable. They give a complimentary toilet kit that includes a comb and razor, very thoughtful. Also comp. fruit and bottled water. Would stay here again for sure.

My need was to crash for the night before I head off to the next day' meeting. This hotel was close to my office location and decent. The staff was friendly and it had a restaurant, which was decent to host a dinner.

Room Tip: If you are looking for a compact room in heart of New Delhi
