Description: Diverging from the quintessential concept of dimly-lit watering holes, where enjoying a drink or two meant gulping down the regular varieties of beers, rums and vodkas, The Beer Cafe goes out of the conventional to introduce a concept that goes beyond simply drinking beer. As an ideal setting for a business meeting or as a cool hangout spot for a light evening with friends.

“disappointing”

Pity, I wanted to like this place, anywhere that has Jim Morrison's " I woke up this morning and I got myself a beer" over the fridge is OK by me. Large Sport screens etc it should do what it says on the packet. It has a wide selection of International brands - London Pride, Estrella, Paulaner etc. Nothing to excite a European afficionado but enough to show the locals what's available at large. But the test of a pub is its draught stuff and they have managed to preserve the traditional soap/sulphur dioxide taste of low rent Indian beer. Now admittedly this is what locals are used to - when i brought a bottle of Hobgoblin to an Indian mate he struggled, because there was no soap taste - but it means that you are not getting the real thing. A 1/2 of Erdinger, a German Weissbier, normally at worst , harmless, tasted of Fairy Liquid and the following Stella was no better.
Music was generic EDM, giving the impression of being stuck in a lift at 120 bpm. I am no fan of Kurt Cobain but if he knew he was going to be sampled over 3 note electro then he would have topped himself sooner. Food is mostly North Indian, I was not interested enough to try it.
I have been in a couple of Bangalore brewpubs and they have got it right - decent beer with a local flavour, and spicy snacks, what's not to like?.100 metres away is the Blues Bar, less pretentious even after recent scrub up, and less soap. Go there instead

“Good. They can accommodate families.”

Food is not value for money. Quantity is not appropriate as per price. Food at beer cafe janpath is better than inner circle.
