I have read so much about Gulatis and how they are the best when it comes to Punjabi cuisine. We went there on a weekday fearing the rush on weekends only to find the restaurant packed anyways. We finally got our table 30 min later. We tried the usual fare Tandoori chicken and butter chicken and they did not disappoint. The service is excellent and prompt. The place is predictably noisy as the Delhi families feel completely at home over here. The restaurant has done nothing to their decor to absorb the noise. The chicken 65 and the Hyderabadi Biryani is not so Hyderabadi , it has been punjabised. The poor things who are raving about these dishes havent had the chance to taste the authentic stuff. overall a decent Punjabi joint on the lines of Moti mahal.

Looking for super duper food in Delhi? The food here is amazing. The tandoori options are the best. The briyani is also spectacular. And the dhal makani is a must. Try out the range of rotis' as well. The big disappointment for my colleague and I was that the restaurant doesn't serve alcohol. Although we were a group of 8...and the rest were not drinking. So all in, a fabulous meal.

The location just near to India Gate & Bikaner House is really a big plus point.. away from busy streets its a really wonderful place.
I specially liked the ambiance, comfort, service and of course the FOOD...which was truly awesome.
I had a buffet lunch, which was loaded with varieties of dishes on the table.
Right from soup & appetizing drinks to the sweet dish everything was in order and suiting to the taste buds of everyone.
I definitely will go the place again and recommend to everyone.

Gulati's... An Authenticated Punjabi Restaurant…Being the oldest restaurent in Delhi, till date it has maintained an awesome food quality.

A best place for Non Veg Lovers….There Non veg Kebab's (galouti kebab, kakori kebab) are to die for.. The butter chicken is also fingerlicking...

For vegeterian, thr dahi ke kabas and dal makhni are very good.. Though weneva i visit have to wait due to the rush..but its worth waitin...

Gulati seems to be a traditionally very highly rated restaurant in Delhi. I had heard a lot about it too before i went in. Perhaps my expectations were high too...

The food at Gulati was good at best, not great. there are places that serve better north indian/ mughlai food. We tried tandoori chicken...which was good, so were some of the veg kebabs. Dal-chawal was good too. Biryani was pretty average. Overall a decent meal, but not enough to match the hype that Gulati's has around it.
