There is an absolute paucity of live bars in and around Delhi, and this one is the best I have found so far, the ambience is nice and the food ok. Beer choice is limited. By western standards you might find everything mediocre to poor but the locals lap it up. The band I saw was a filipino couple, one guitarist who did a kind of karaoke act to midi files on a laptop. Filipinos are in general excellent mimics and this couple could be mistaken for listening to the real recording of the covers that they were doing, except the pronunciation of words with th, which come across as a "D" I had to chuckle as I remembered an episode of only fools and horses where Del boy signed cassandra up with a singer who, it turned out, pronounced his 'R' s as 'W'. The gween gween gwass of home... Not a great place to go on your own, i found myself stuffed up against the speaker by the bar, until they found me a table for two behind a pillar. If you're in India and craving something almost western this is a good alternative.
