Me and my boyfriend stayed here at the beginning of September, our first stay in India.
Abi couldn't have made it more memorable, the rooms are spacious and clean with a balcony and great view over yDelhi!
When we arrived he gave us a detailed plan of all the most popular tourist attractions, including some lesser-known ones, and clear, simple instructions on how to reach them.
Abi was so attentive and would show a genuine interest in what we had got up to each day when we would arrive back, we would often end up chatting for hours late in to the night. Make sure you check out the roof terrace with great views over Delhi!
By the end we were sad to leave Meditation Palace, as we loved the place, and Abi ha become such a good friend, he even introduced us to other people staying at the hotel and took us to watch a Bollywood movie, while translating the whole thing - a truly memorable experience.
If you're staying in Delhi, this place is a must, a true authentic Indian home stay.
What a lovely peaceful guesthouse to return to after a day of exploration around the busy city. The room was exceptionally clean and had all the facilities one could need. I really enjoyed the delicious breakfasts made by Abi's mother each morning as they fuelled me up for a day of adventuring, and certainly appreciated the filtered water readily available in the common area kitchen to keep my bottle filled. The neighbourhood was a lovely quiet haven after a chaotic day in the city, and there is a mall 2 minutes walk away with numerous shops and restaurants. The metro line is also very convenient - only a 15 minute walk away or couple of minutes in the rickshaw. By far the highlight though was host Abi's hospitality. He was incredibly welcoming and goes out of his way to make you feel at home and give you a fantastic orientation to the city - even giving you a metro card to use while there. Abi is genuinely interested in each of his guests and makes clear to contact him should you need any info or support throughout your stay. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Meditation Palace and will be sure to stay again when I return to Delhi at the end of my Indian adventure.
Had an amazing time staying here. If you are looking for a place to stay in deihl definitely stay here! Abhi is more of a friend that a host , tells you all the sites to see and maps of metro. He couldn't of been more helpful. Really top guy.
Nice and clean hotel, a little far from the city center but you can easily reach it by metro. The owner is always happy to give information about Delhi and helps with booking taxi's,...
This place is a bit away from hustle bustle in delhi, well furnished and comfortable. The owner Abhisek is very friendly and willing to help you for anything. He helped us a lot to get used to India for the beginning of our trip. Everything is excellent except the location is not the best, you need rickshaw to metro. Maybe a little bit expensive but the cheapers in delhi have a lot of problems.
“A gem in Delhi! ”
What can I say.... If you go to Delhi stay here! The service was really exceptional and Abhi (hotel owner) couldn't help us enough. When looking for a place in Delhi we wanted somewhere with good reviews and found Meditation Palace. The reviews were outstanding and after staying there we could see why. We got a whatsapp message as soon as we had booked the hotel, giving us some general tips about Delhi and saying how they are looking forward to us staying with them. We automatically felt like we had a friend in India. Before we arrived we got messages explaining how to find the accommodation, which was really helpful. The hotel can be difficult to find on first arrival but it's 5 minutes from a metro station and a cycle rickshaw to the hotel doesn't cost much. When we arrived we were greeted as friends and were given an itinerary with the best things to do in Delhi with hints and tips of how much to pay, how to get there etc. It was really useful. Every evening when got back Abhi was genuinely interested in our day and what we had done. Nothing was ever too much trouble from ordering us a taxi at 5am, helping us order a cycle rickshaw (and not get ripped off) or staying up with us when our train was delayed, to even letting us stay there an extra night rather than siting in the train station. The rooms are nice and a good size and there are communal bathrooms and kitchens which are fully stocked to cook for yourself. There is also filter water available so no need to keep getting bottled water. The breakfast provided is lovely and you can request it which ever time suits you. We had a brilliant stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back. It made our stay in Delhi even better. The way Abhi talks about his guests is like they have been friends for years, he is genuinely interested in helping and will do anything to ensure your stay is comfortable and relaxing.
There wasn't anything to dislike. We had a brilliant time. A few suggestions would be a bin in the bedroom, towels provided for shower and more toilet roll in bathrooms. Also maybe a sign outside to advertise the hotel.
