You will have awesome view from the top floor rooms.the manager may share some valuable information. location wise the hotel is good bcoz it takes five mins to reach mall.stuffs are well behaved.rooms & bathrooms are spacious. but the property is old & notso well maintained.they don't clean up rooms everyday or change the bed sheet everyday.carry toiletries at your own.this is budgeted hotel don't expect too much service from them.

Room Tip: top floor's corner rooms have more clear view.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days with my family and my experience has been really great out here. This is a low cost property, best in shimla, the location is good as it's near to all the tourist attractions such as mall road, church, etc.

Go for a honeymoon suite which you will get for around 1500/-, not bad. This suite is really great as it is:

1.) newly constructed
2.) whole wooden flooring
3.) Very Spacious
4.) Neat and Clean
5.) Great great room service
6.) Food is ok
7.) working staff including the manager is really sweet.

I recommend this hotel to all budget travellers..

Room Tip: Go only for the Honeymoon suite or other suite. These are actually hill facing and being one of the only property situated on a hilltop kind of area, the view is really refreshing...

Very near to the Ridge (2 min walk). Your can see the entire Shimla from this hotel. The food offere was excellent and of great taste. Enjoyed staying there with family...

Me and My friend stayed in this hotel on the 10th August to 12th August 2012, we took the room on the second floor which was a pain to climb after the 15 minute uphill climb from the Mall. There were a few issues like the paint was ripped off from the walls at some places and the roof had some rain marks as it was the rainy season in Shimla. The room are big and spacious and had clean linen. The bathroom was huge with the BATH TUB but it didn't work we had to fill it with bucket and mugs to stress off our body after the death taking hike from the Jakhu temple. The WC needs a change as it is the Mix between the indian and the Western make. The view from the room is good and the surroundings are silent. Rest of the tings were pretty standard like the coffee table, sofa and TV.
Overall good experience.

Room Tip: The rooms on the End of the gallery have no view of the valley please look around and check other rooms. The rooms on the ground floor have more dampness than the one on the upper floors. Food comes from the adjoing hotel and is Good Enough at such prices.

This was the best budget room (Suite Nr. 105) we had in Himachal.

Two very clean, bright and friendly rooms, looking new, 2 kingsize beds, great view over the valleys through a lot of windows. Good shower with a extra big water heater. New good matresses. Absolutely quiet. Very friendly and caring personell.

A bit hard to find: Up the steep road behind the church (way to Jakhu Temple) and at the end of a small, car free lane in front of the Dreamland Hotel.
