Its supposed to be a beautiful place but all you see here is people instead of the actual garden. Which takes away the charm. Of course which might be true for most of the tourist places. A warning, beware of being looted in the parking lot by random people walking upto you and saying that the line at the ticket counter is very long and if you pay him 100 bucks he can go and get the tickets for you. Even though the line may be long, if you look around you will see official folks carrying the portable ticket machines who can give you the ticket on the spot.

Its very renowned but if looked by outsider there are many such big gardens in each big city these days. So this is also just one of them. Previously no such garden was existing hence there is such hype of this garden. One nus is there directly from Mysore palace to gates of Vrindavan garden. Water of Krishnarajsagar dam is circulated nicely in this garden. We reached the garden in evening to catch lighting show but it was not that great. There was plenty of rush everywhere. We could watch Lighting show only for 10-15 minutes as people start walking out then after. Garden is nicely designed and well maintained. There are many security personnel just waiting to catch you while clicking photo and then asking camera ticket for same. This reminds traffic police just waiting in chowk to catch you once you cross the signal ! Snacks items are available inside and outside the garden. Overall its just local picnic spot now.

I had been there a couple years ago and it was a great place to be, it was quite well maintained, and the night fountain show is worth it.

Poorly maintained, unruly crowds due to cheep entry fee make this a avoidable attraction.
We were very keen to see the sound and light show in the evening which never happened - ofcourse without any prior announcement - incredible india.

Many lights and fountains didn't work - what a shame.

Infact we felt the gardens made a good view in the day then the evening. Although there are many better gardens than this around the world & also in india.

Ok so we travelled on a long weekend, but still it was over crowded. We went there around 7 Pm, it was so dimly lit and we can barely see each other. there has to be a limit on number of people allowed at any given time. With our kids it became so hard that we just returned in 15 minutes.
