“The place is good but why pay Rs 50/- to forest department for zero maintenance?”
Reviewed 12 August 2013

The place is scenic and beautiful, worth visiting once. You can only go to the temple and watch the sceneic view from there and that's it, no provision for even a short trek and understandably so because, it has high wild elephants concentration.
At the foot of this hill, the forest department people charge Rs 50 per vehicle and I can't figure why because the road to the top is as bad as it was 3 years back when I went free of charge and infact it has gotten worse.

“Surprisingly good!!!”
Reviewed 27 July 2013

The location is too good which is covered by clouds due to it's altitude. Temple is neat, clean & beautiful. It was chilled & raining when we visited. It's just a temple & no other facilities like hotels, restaurants nearby.

“Awesome feel.”
Reviewed 28 February 2013

Get ready to get wet when you arrive at this place.
It is on the way to bandipur. The temple is very old and you will really feel good here.
The place is a bit crowd y.
The state run buses will irritate you while driving.

“Enjoy the nature!”
Reviewed 26 February 2013

A very good to place to visit for enjoying in nature.. The visit timings to the temple and Hill from 8 AM to 4 PM as it is a restricted area. Though you enjoy the Fog early in the morning, it is a very cool place. We could spot few Deers and Foxes when we visited. Arounnd 90 kms from Mysore, which takes maximum 1.5 hours of drive. You can also visit Huluginamurudi Venkataramanaswamy temple near Gundlupet.

This is one amazing place!! It lies inside the Bandipur Forest area.We visited somewhere in October and the weather was great. Temple is not overcrowded so you can sit around and have some peaceful time and take some pics of the beautiful hills around. The view at the top is really marvellous. While coming back we could even spot a few elephants drinikng water in the forest .If you want to visit a hill station with great weather and want to indulge in the calm and beautiful landscapes then its a must visit !!
