The Keshava temple at Somanathpura is a beautiful Hoysala dynasty temple on state highway 79 about three hours from Bangalore and an hour away from Mysore. It's kinda small but beautifull and very well maintained. I would highly recommend a guide(rs 300) to point out the highlights. There are three garbagrihas and since the idols were chipped by the mughal emperors they are not worshipped anymore.
Do come prepared to spend 1-2 hours here. Not much food around and there are restrooms on the site.
