Description: Tina's cafe strikes one 's eye because of the location and large open space. As the sign board suggests authentic Punjabi home-made food is served. In fact some of the dishes are cooked at home and brought to the cafe!! the menu changes every day to accomodate what's available in the vegetable mandi .No 'maida' is used to make the 'Rotis'/'Parathas'.If you don't mind, chatty owners who may make honest suggestions about the order you place, rope you in for a games of chess,Tina's Cafe is the perfect place to hang out. The ambience is very warm, the prayer flags, cushions, big urns. The art on the walls has been done by the owners and a lot of willing customers while they waited for their food.

By the first looks, one cannot believe this cafe is in India. It was a pleasant surprise to find such an elegant yet simple place to eat at. The decor, atmosphere, little things like book shelf and chess set, courtesy of owners... all these things together contribute to make this a relaxed and welcome place.
To talk about food, they have a good variety of Indian cuisine at very nominal rates, which makes you think even higher of them. The food is simple like paratha, chhole yet of high quality. The chocolate brownie kept as a complimentary item was simply superb. You will find a lot of foreigners coming to this place. Worth the experience.

This was our haven for the first week of a long stay in Mysore whilst we found our feet, that said we still go back - just not every day! Great North Indian food. The dishes are displayed in tiny bowls on the counter as well as written on a board to save confusion, so you can just point out what you would like, once ordered they will call you to collect your meal. All veggie, and filtered water provided on tables which we drank with no ill effects, for two our meal here generally costs between 180 and 220 Rs which would be a biriani rice to share and two or three veg dishes.

It's actually not a cafe but kind of a eatery (not fine dining) serving home cooked food. The food is very nice & is not spicy at all. It's very similar to your regular home cooked food (less oil & less spices). Though they have limited options, they have a different menu everyday so that you don't get bored if you are a regular visitor. For the chapathis, I had to tell them to cook properly as few of them came undercooked. But they did that happily. The prices are very less here with a portion of veg curry for Rs. 40/60 and chapathis/parathas for Rs. 5/20. I like the location of the cafe as well. It's situated in a mostly residential area but it has been designed nicely to give the open feeling. Very reasonable prices and very good food. Must visit for those who miss North Indian home food in Mysore.

Wow- Tina and Sanjeev have that very special something that turns this cafe into somewhere worth diverting to. They are honest warm people and thief fresh home cooked food is outstanding. The best aloo roti and biryani I've tasted in India. And don't miss the chocolate brownies! I'm already planning to come again! The warmest of welcomes...

I went their with my wife & mom for lunch. Primarily it was for my mom who wanted to have home made type north indian food. We searched internet for similar top rated places to eat in Mysore & zeroed in on Tina's Cafe. Did not have high expectations but once we reached there we found the ambience to be really cool. The uncle & aunty are warm hosts and the food was truly home made.
Even though only my mom wanted to eat initially but seeing the quality of food & ambience, me & my wife also chipped in :)

I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good home made north indian food on their travel to Mysore.
